To much room for something to go wrong to expose the board to that kind of thing when moderating a group purchase was the thinking. |

I went to an event where they had some "random person" pull the winners names from a basket and guess who won the grand prize and had to be rushed off the stage and wisked away for their own safety?

when I posted interest it was to order a scooter to keep for myself . The idea of others going in on it was to offset the loss if it is a scam . My idea was to give back the money if the bike showed and I could get it registered . A raffle or group buy goes against TOS . IF Alley does see this he will most likely lock it . All that are in should pm me based on the number of people will dictate how much per person . If you guys have questions your welcome to call me .

If you want to buy one from that site and get taken its a total loss then everyone knows its a scam . If others want to buy from them and are unsure if it is a scam then the pool lessens the loss . I would partake in a raffle knowing its a raffle . Most raffles the items are donated then given away . Like I said if I get the scooter and can register it I send everyone back there money . Then those that want to buy can buy with confidence . John |

There is a number to call if you speak Chinese. Not sure that would prevent a scam. The site has only been around a few months and only registered for a year. what needs to be done is everyone that chips in and when enough money is achieved, put the names in a hat pull a name and then order and ship to the winner. I'd do the drawing i don't need another scoot.

Thats exactly the idea I had in mind. Do you want to handle this?We would need more participants, How many in now, around six of us? Would probably choose to order the least expensive one too.
