ok so i listened to this guys advise about timing and she wont start. heres the link if you wanna read what i was told. itistheride.boards.net/index.cgi?board=50ac&action=display&thread=3823So i did the compinsation i measured how far the chain travels and in which direction to compinsate for, it was like exactly one tooth counter clock wise on the cam to compinsate for the timing marks not lining up. so i have spark (blueish white color) and fuel (i can see the fuel traveling through the fuel filter) and i can feel and hear the compression (no compression gauge) but when i go to start it, doesnt even sound like it firing at all, just the fuel and air being pushed out of the exhaust. So do i take her back apart and not compinsate for the timing marks being off? im not sure what to do at all really so any help would be appreciated.

My input will likely be of no help at all, but I installed a 47mm BBK on my 139QMB scoot. I used the stock head and couldn't get it to start for the life of me. I bought a new 20mm carb to rule out fuel delivery, but still no go. I had good spark; the plug smelled like gas. It wasn't until I took my head off and held it to the light. I could see light through my intake valve. I didn't have a compression tester or else I would have saved myself a lot of time. So in my case, it was a bent intake valve. I ordered a new one off ebay and $6 later I was up and running with only a few kicks of the kickstart. My freshly charged battery didn't have enough juice to turn it over. I only had to kick start it a couple times; the started can now turn it over every time without any problems. Like I said, I don't know if anything I had to say will help you or not, but I thought I'd share my experience just the same.

I saw your Video on your previous post. If you setup the timing with it pointing halfway between the "T" and the "F" it is TOO RETARDED. Its ok for it to bounce back like that but bring the timing up like you did in the VIDEO then put your cam in line up the two little holes even with the head and put the chain on. NOW you want to align your timing mark USING THE CHAIN. Grab the TOP of the CHAIN and hold the cam with the other hand and move the chain 1 link over now look at your time mark and pointer it should be ON the "T" or JUST RIGHT BEFORE the "T". Hope this helps. Alleyoop

If he timed it halfway between the "T" and "F" it is firing on the down stroke, all I have to say. Just trying to tell him how to set it up right he can do whatever he wants. Alleyoop

If the magneto is making it that difficult to time, then my suggestion is to remove the magneto, remove the stator, put the magneto back on and set the timing. The toughest part is if you don't have a flywheel tool for the removal.
