So I confirmed with GPS that the scooter is only hitting 43mph.
I plan to adjust the valves next but would that impact it the top end speed that much?

Top speed is gained by running the engine warm. The first 500km you're not supposed to hit it, as you're breaking in the engine. After about 500km the engine starts going better, and the engine performs better when it's hot (after 5-10 minutes riding at WOT, or 10-15minutes riding normally). It also performs better with BP Premium fuel, like most other scoots do.

you should get at least 50 gps out of your 150 valves is a good start, william at provenpowersports is awesome, bought two scoots from there this year he's been great. A tuned cvt is gonna get you the speed you expect

If it has a tach what does the tach say the rpms are? Alleyoop

On my EVO, the tach is usually 1000RPM above the 100x speed in MPH
Meaning, 5k RPM means ~40MPH, 7k RPM means ~60MPH. Under 35MPH the cvt gear ratio changes, and the numbers are off...

Thanks for the input. There are several breakin methods and I am no expert but I am using a method that uses heat cycles and involves short WOT.
Currently the RPMs hit 6000.
I will adjust the valves and finish the breakin. And report back....
It is time to start assembling the second scooter.

I adjusted the exhaust valve and the intake was within spec.
Runs much better!

I have to correct something I previously wrote! 55MPH on the EVO is top speed, 60 with a little wind in the back.
On my speedo the meter shows 60, but the dot to mark 60 is a bit below the meter, as the numbers are written where the speed would be 55MPH.
So 50MPH all day long, 55MPH tops. And with some tuning you could get it to run at 60MPH.
As the bike wears it's rollers, the RPMs go up (I hit 8500RPM at 60MPH tops, that was during an almost 1 hour wot trip on the interstate, scary!!) A truck passed before me, and cut some wind, and allowed me to go to 9,25k RPM, after which the engine misfired or cut out, so I had to stay below 9k RPM. 9k RPM is just past the 100 kmh on the meter, round about 65MPH; but riding behind the truck felt like a wind still, quiet environment, quite odd when going almost 65MPH!
That ATM/EVO150 engine really rocks!
With the slider wear, it now accelerates at a constant 6kRPM, until the variator maxes out at ~40MPH.

I got the second scooter wrapped up today. There were several wires broken or not connected including the ignition harness and one on the coil. I added a magnetic plug for the oil... Picked it up on ebay for ~$10 M12 with 1.5 pitch threads. Also added a phone/gps mount.... And since we plan on taking them on some dirt roads I made a custom mount to mount a hand pump.... The mini morph.

I have a problem with the scooter I finished today. It is leaking gas and a fast rate of 2 drips per second out of the carb overflow tube.
Would this be caused by a faulty petcock? Or possibly a the bowl drain faulty?

Or possibly a the bowl drain faulty? I figured it out....I fixed it by tightening the screw at the bottom of the drain assembly.

Mine does the same thing, When overfilling the gas tank it drips out. The ATM150/EVO150 is not a good offroad bike! The suspension is rock hard, almost feels like solid rubber. It's not going to be pleasant riding on those, offroad.
