This is my 2nd scooter and it smells like there is a dead mouse around the engine area. Smelt it on the 1st scoot. ?

Buy some new shoes  New scooter? New mufflers smell a bit until crap burns off. Old scoot...maybe a critter baking in there. |

Clean it as you may have muck on the exhaust or on the engine . Does it burn or leak oil ? Running hot ?

Chinese Cosmoline type preservative coatings do smell bad don't they. Some believe they are all made from not to refined fish oil but...

Yeah, my new scooter stank for the first week or so until all of the oils/grunge cooked off. Still a little bit of the smell when the motor is hot but it's much better than it was when I first rode it around the neighborhood...
