If it seems to have good compression I would take the carb off and remove float bowl then clean out the pilot and main jet real good,,might have a piece of dirt in there...or maybe water in the fuel The fuel pump will keep working off vacuum from the intake manifold after its running,,so your good as long as it spurts out when you crank it over.Does it have a nice blue spark on plug also,,might check that too..but I think your problem is clogged carb jets.

sometimes the f/a screws vibrate loose and open up. something easy to check before you take the carb apart.

[replyingto=newbscootdude]newbscootdude[/replyingto]True,, If the A/F screw is not under a brass cover you can check it,,if its under the cover,,drill the cover off with a small bit it will pop right off,,then gently screw the A/F screw in all the way CW,,back it out CCW 1 1/2 turns, start the scoot,,warm it up,,then screw it in till the motor wants to die,,then back it out CCW just until rpm is at fastest point,,then screw it in CW a hair 1/8...see if it takes the fuel any better.

ur jet is clogged
i think so bc u say it starts full opened so take ur carb apart get carb cleaner (gumout was the best for me) it gets it all out also get wires and strip them to the brass and poke ur jets to clean it out very easy
then u take it out look at the hole in a light and see before and after cleaning

Sounds like you need to adjust the valves. If not its the carb or an air leak somewhere.

[replyingto=digger350]digger350[/replyingto]The A/F screw is located towards the front left of the carb,,it may be behind a EPA Protected brass cover that will need to be drilled off like I said earlier. If it has good compression I wouldn't worry about the valves yet...but they do need to be checked and adjusted once in a while,,every 2-3K Km.
