This is just Unbelievable. The man says he has no strength in his hands to open the pulley forward to push the belt down and STILL people are telling him how they do it which requires having strength in his hands  He needs ideas on how to use something he can use as leverage to help him so he does not need to use a lot of strength that his hands do not have. Actually Jersey's idea is much better and easier for him. Get a piece of wood the width of the belt and smack the wood with a hammer and it will open the pulley and push the belt down at the same time. Alleyoop |

me and jersey both have good ones however if useing a wedge make sure u do it in a way inwhich u can still get the belt around the pulley . also i had a stock clutch pulley completely snap from around the center and spin freeley so pounding on a stock clutch may not be wise  |

Your idea is good for a strong person with hands but in this case not a good idea and will not work for him. Jersey's is the best does not require a lot of strength and easy to do and just requires to get the belt down about 1/2 inch so the belt will have enough slack to go over the BOSS.

again you obviously have never tried it , so u have no opinion that matters on my easy way lol. and for some chance if you have, maybe you should workout a little be cause ot only takes a few pounds of pressure  compared to squeezing the pliers which takes a little more. anyway there you go insulting and knocking others ideas i new u couldnt resist lol. |

If you use the wedged block of wood,,you will need to place it about 9-o'clock,,then I believe you will be able to work around it,,pretty easy from how I figure it.

Yeah,,dont beat on the clutch,,just use a dead blow or rubber mallet and tap the block of wood in between the pulleys @ 9:00...that should get you the room you need like Alley said.

i was riding a couple yrs ago "all stock" and my stationary inner pulley completely snapped from the weld flew up just enough to bust a hole in my cvt cover .lol thats why im not to into any type of pounding on the clutch if there is another easy way. not saying it will def destroy anything . with my experiences i obviously would have that concern.
