Are the pins that hold them in still there? I am having a hard time picturing how this is even possible. Did you have it a part before? At least it didn't lock you up and wreck you.

Well I let a friend ride it sat. and after he rode we were standing there talking and another friend of mine came up gripped the throttle. He ran it into the side railing along the building and crashed when he wasn't even on it. At the time the damage I seen was a broken mirror but I guess when the front tire came down the pins fell out. I did replace the mirrors already I had a set sitting around.

Gotta make sure these little buggers are on there center stand at all times,,I made the mistake of twisting the throttle a couple times when on the side stand,,so far Ive been lucky,,but trying to get in the habbit of kicking it up on the center stand aint a bad idea...

Why is it people don't understand a scooter is a vehicle, same as a car? Would your friend have walked up and stomped on the gas pedal of your car?
My sister-in-laws are both sort of the same mentality. One set her five-year-old son on the seat. I took him off. The other let her girls scramble around it. I finally asked her if she'd let them do the same around a car. That stopped that.
It's like they don't comprehend a scooter is a vehicle, same as a car. Just because it's smaller doesn't mean it's less dangerous. More, I'd think. A car can't tip onto a child, not like a scooter if she knocks that kickstand back, or pushes it off the center stand.

Meanwhile, here's a funny story along the same lines.
Our back neighbor called her husband. "Honey, the wheel just came off the car." "You mean the hubcap." "No, the whole wheel came off." "Okay, what really happened?" "I went over a train track and the wheel came off the car." Pause. "Okay, I want you to hang up, wait a minute, then call me back and tell me what really happened." "I'M TELLING YOU--THE ENTIRE WHEEL CAME OFF THE CAR!!!!"
I never did hear the how. But her car's rear wheel really did come off and went rolling across the road, luckily into the ditch. She was pretty ticked with hubby for not believing her.

When managing a Tire Kingdom we had a policy where all wheels must be torqued when placing them back on a vehicle. In some instances policies were not followed and this does happen from time to time.

The pads on my wife's car fell out one time but that was just an adhesive failure between the pad and the backer. For the backer plates to fall out they would have to have been installed incorrectly.
