Im building a 205cc gy6. 63mm bore high compression piston, 8.2mm stroker, big head with port work. Im going to go with a flat side carb and am wondering if I should go with 30mm or 32. I can get the 30 for a decent price.
Is one easier to tune than the other?

Not really...i have a 30mm on mine and it was a b.i.t.c.h to get tuned. Im using a 35/122 setup in my Oko.

I would go with th 32 mm, and yes it was tough tunning but once you get it it will not let you down.

so in all reality will a correctly tuned 28mm be un superior to a correctly tuned 32mm on a 205cc?
Power and throttle response wise, don't really care about MPG.
Also are the OKO replicas decent or should I try to find a real one?

30mm or 32mm

Most 32mm OKO carburetors that sellers sell are Cheap imitations. Most a picture of it here or link and i will be able to tell you quickly if your getting a genuine OKO carb. Also i have had friends with the 232cc Taida engine and still use a OKO 30mm. Others opt for the Mikuni TM32 Carburetor. Its the best and high quality. But as others have said on here they are difficult to tune flatside carbs. I run a 30mm in my 192cc scoot.
Also be careful with the 8.2mm stroke crankshaft. We stopped selling them because there were alot of reports that because the stroke is so long that the piston came out of the bottom of the cylinder and destroyed engines. There are cylinder kits that are taller with a longer skirt just for the 8.2mm to prevent that. Good luck! Take pics when your finished.

Also are the OKO replicas decent or should I try to find a real one? The replicas are nearly impossible to tune because of the jet they have. A Genuine OKO Carb will have a longer hex style jet while the fakes have the stock carburetor jets in them.

Well scooter elements I just ordered a few things from you and I am the one who contacted you on ebay about the 28mm and am about to snatch up the 30mm you have left for the simple reason it's the only sub $100 true oko I can find.
Justin, once I get my funds back up I'm going to be doing a turbo/efi setup from mbe, that's after I get my b cases and 67mm kit.

They don't make an efficient turbo for such small motors. Check totalruckus there were a few peoe over there that did it with poor results. There is a lot of info about ecotron FI kit over MBE's kit and the customer support from each. I will hopefully be FI this season.

If you are told its an oko and recieve somthing different then you got ripped off. If it is sold as a 32 mm cvk pumper carb and was cheaper like mine was. I forget the actual brand i think it starts with a J , then this is a different brand carb. If it says oko on it ànd turns out that it is not an oko then that is a fake. Mine was made in china but has been a very good carb. No problems and works flawlessly. In many cases there is no need to buy the most expensive parts.

I ordered an oko 30mm from scooter elements along with some other goodies. You were the one?? I am sorry about that. We did not have that in stock but we did find that 28mm that you wanted. We will send you the clear float bowl for the trouble. We have placed our order with OKO but it wont arrive for about 2 months. Thanks
