Check your oil levels. If you overfill these little oil resivoirs you can create a vapor lock on the engine and it seriously saps a lot of power out of these little guys. I did it once and will never do it again. hope that helps and its easy to check. the oil lvl on ur dipstick depending on which one it is (mine is the thacked one) should only have oil a little over half way on just resting on the port.

This may sound stupid, but have you checked your tires?

My scoot started slowing down on me and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. It was like someone had put a governor on this thing. Couldn't get the RPMs, couldn't get the speed, even downhill it was like there was a restrictor on it. One day, my tire got so flat it became obvious what the problem was. My tire had a slow leak in it and the lower tire pressure was causing the issue. Just never even though to check it. Rear tire BTW.

Did you buy a knew belt ? If not as the belt wears the rpms start to rise higher due to the belt wear . The belt is unable to raise as high on the variator. One solution is to up the roller weights but this is only a temp cure. And if the weights ere never raised during the wear the rpms will keep raising to the point you will be running at very high rpms to reach. A lower speed . However u should still pick up some speeds down hill . Im not saying this is def the prob. Just it is worth buying a new belt an trying especially if you habe over 2000 miles on the belt.

Does your belt seem to be raising on the variator ?

Yeah the cvt seems perfect, timing is right, but there is something bout the tire, the one in front is large and the one in the back is smaller, like the size of a normal yy50qt. Pressure fine though!
