i,m having a of a time with the brakes on my 2006 tank touring 150 ..when i got it out of the garage in spring both front and back brakes were locked up ,would,nt move a inch,i had to take the brake lines off at the calipars to get it to roll...when i took the lines off i couldnt see but a drip or so of brake fluid come out...i,ve put new brake calipars on front and back ..new master cylinders front and back and still cant get any fluid going to the calipars ...dont know if i got bad master cylinders from scappydogscooters or what ..with the master cylinders off when i pump the levers no fluid comes out ..does that mean the new master cylinders are bad ?havent been able to ride all spring yet...getting frustrated

i took the brake lines off and blew air thru them ..seems ok but absolutely no fluid will come out of the new master cylinders at the brake line hole when you pump them not even a drop

Then I'd say you either A.) Didnt remove a fluid plug on the new master, or B.) they're no good

Same as any other master cylinder you'd buy. The spot where you screw the line into has a plug in it.

Sometimes depending on shape and style it is difficult to get the master cylinders primed enough to start pushing fluid. Even in normal operation they only push a tiny bit of fluid at a time. Occasionally with a little patience you can get lucky just by opening the bleeder and letting gravity do it's thing.
Best advice is to buy or borrow a MityVac type fluid sucker. That will overpower the check valves and get the juices flowing in no time.
A little extra tip. Once you get the brakes bled normally, if they still don't feel quite right, try flicking the brake lever with your finger tips. Just pull it a quarter inch or so and then let it snap back. Don't get carried away or you'll make a mess. Repeat a bunch of times and you likely see some bubbles pop up out of the master cylinder. Depending on which way things are mounted on your scoot you can also gently turn the handlebars one way or the other to angle the reservoir the other way and let the bubbles rise up from the other end of the master cylinder.

You can also use it to pull a vacuum to test your petcock and to prime your fuel pump and fuel lines. If you do your own wrenching it's definitely a worthwhile investment.

Can bleed using a bungy cord to wrap around brake lever, so when you open the line, the bundy cord acts like a hand and constricts the lever. Pretty easy to bleed brakes this way..
