I just had my drive belt shred, I am sure it is the short case GY6. What belt do I replace with and where can I get one quick?

if you need it immediately i would order one online and then search for local scooter parts and start calling tomorrow. you might end up with 2 belts but it is always good to have a spare (so i have heard).

You got that right even if its a cheap belt always carry a spare. I carry everything, cdi, coil, fuel filter, hoses, plug, wire, tow strap, duct tape even a spare NUT for the Variator and or Clutch. I have the Variator open on the side so if the NUT comes loose it is gone. Alleyoop

I am going to go ahead and get 2. There is a shop near me that deals only in repairing GY6 scoots. They said they should have them in but I gotta call in the morning.

Btw, when I was looking at the bet, I notice something hanging down from the scoot, it looked like the part comming from the carb on this pic, withn the metal end and spring on. What is that for? It looked like it had a flat head screw in the end peice.
