[replyingto=steelace]steelace[/replyingto]All you gotta do is remove the variator (or clutch too, I guess, but removing the variator should be way easier)
I can't find any videos about just squeezing the clutch to get the belt in there, but it's simple enough. The clutch will squeeze open and shut and all you have to do is get the belt in there to keep it open so that you have enough length of the belt to get it on the variator shaft.
Good luck!

yep, good luck! i been trying to figure out how to get my variator off to change the roller weights. think i (we) need to invest in an impact wrench... sigh. that vid above makes it look easy... not so with my scoot. think king kong put this thing together. every nut and bolt is torqued to its breaking point.

i don't know what to frikin do.... My dad told me to do it his way ( wrench in the fins on the variator) and it broke a fin. Can't get the belt on, or even get the variator off. I am about to sell it.
Will a fin off effect it much? Where is a cheap place to get one?

No need to hold the variator when using an impact wrench? from what i have read just be careful when you put it back on. hand tighten first and then a couple 1 second pulls with your impact wrench. i'm going to pick up the same one. i saw a 20% off printable coupon for harbor freight. google it, i didn't save the link.

Well, I got the belt on, but ran into some issues..... idk whats wrong.
First, idk where the spring on the kickstart connects so that falls down.
Second, it bogs down and wont move when it is on the ground, but on the stand it runs and tire moves.
