The first 1 to 2 pages (depending if I load it with computer, or mobile device) I see is banners. Just wondering if the forum logo can be made a bit smaller? Just saying

It is huge, takes up the better part of the screen on my tiny Chromebook. Haven't used the new forum on my iPod yet but that'll be even worse.

Ohhhh plus part of it is at SD, it was at the very top of the page, then the menu and ad banner, that makes a difference too I suppose.

I'll have to see on that one Scootnwinn? Where the banner code goes in sometimes can be a little finicky but that is a good idea. I know the banner is not what you're used to but when Doug asked Leo to create it we wanted the theme and background to be more detailed than the Scootdawg banner and Leo wonderfully made this.
When more detail is added more size is needed. I'm used to it because I have a large banner at my site. Shrinking the banner is a two way street, can't make it longer without making it taller and vise versa. If you do one without the other then the banner is distorted. The original Leo created was actually bigger than this.
What is going to help soon is the removal of the google ads above it. Doug and I are trying to get this accomplished and may even consider a donation thing to the google ad fund if members so desire. By removing them it would make things smaller and that helps the cause too.

Might I suggest if possible eliminate the buttons above it and incorporate them into the banner then the whole thing could be moved up in its current size and it won't be as distracting on the page...

Not possible with this form of proboards, I can check their code database to see if it can be done. We can move them below the banner and if that would be easier then that's a easy fix.

That would probably work well since the banner wouldn't be between the forum and the navigation buttons...
If its an easy fix that way I think its an excellent compromise...

Thanks guys! I know you're working on it. On my netbook I have adblock on Firefox, so that's not an issue. On my work PC, I have IE, and the banners are pretty big (taking 1/2 to full screen). Perhaps it's because I see 3 banners, instead of 2 or 1.
On my tablet, (in landscape mode) it takes more than a page; and it's rather... unpleasant...
Taking out at least one banner would also help the cause!
Thanks!
