I saw Aquaman at the cinema. Good movie. Dialog was a bit dull. No crude language so you can take the kids. A bit violent. Rent it or go see it.

I don't think I've seen a DC movie in theatre since the return of Superman. Not the one where he's all dark and broody and kills Zod. The first one to bring him back.
And actually, I don't think I've seen any period since that one, until checking out Wonder Woman. Dunno why, DC just doesn't quite seem to know what to do. Unlike Marvel (well, for the most part....)

Marvel and DC movies are some of the few movies I would go to a theater to watch, because of 3D, those fiction movies are cool to watch on 3D.

I know what you mean, 'bender. A dear friend would always go see the new James Bond movie with me--not because she enjoyed the movies (like I do) but because she thought Pierce Brosnan was the most gorgeous male out there. Would always say afterwards they could've just filmed him standing there looking out at the audience for two hours and she'd have been happy. Then again, I can't disagree too much with her--he IS fine to watch.  |

We watched Matt Damon in the 2017 Downsized movie. Much more interesting than I expected. It was a study in the real world every day problems that must be solved to implement big scientific advances. It's not for adrenaline junky fans. Slow starter but picks up mid way. Some bad language. OK for a teen.

Has anyone seen the new Mary Poppins yet?
I'm torn--I'd like to see it, but it looks like they focused on the effects way more than the original did. That one, the effects were very much secondary to the story--even the chalk drawing was about the story, you just accepted the animated world as part of it. But every clip, every trailer I've seen just seems like it's all about the effects.

I wonder how many movies have main characters drive Taurii? Not just wagons, but sedans? Considering they were one of the very best-selling model out there ever, for multiple years, it surprises me that I haven't seen more show up in movies. Even just in general. |

Yes. The Taurus dominated for a decade or so, sometimes bested by the Accord. The Camry has led sales for a long time now and they have been winning NASCAR races too.

Not a lot of great movies out right now. We saw The Boy Who Would be King (Not to be confused with The Man Who Would be King, Starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery). Its an OK movie. Kid friendly. I would have have rather stayed home and watched the old Caine/Connerymovie on NetFlix.

Go see it. Now. As in this week. Before it goes away from theatres. See it. Right now. Go.
Trust me on this. Don't wait for Netflix, or dvd, or anything tv-sized for this one. Go to IMAX if you can. But see it.
Oh, and be sure to check your own heart rate.
