'bender, is it appropriate for my 14yo niece who I believe has at least slight autism? She has seen all the other Marvel movies. But then I know BP is more rooted in real world than some of the other movies are. And I've heard there's more violence in this one, including some gratuitous shootings. While I would enjoy treating her, I don't want to give her nightmares or even just upset her.

The movie contains violence, but not beyond any other Marvel movies. No hankypanky or love scenes.

Thanks, 'bender. When I read "gratuitous shootings" it concerned me as that's different and too "real world" than beat up baddies type violence.

Black Panther is definitely less violent than Deadpool, Kat.

Ok, let me amend "all" to mean "all the regular superhero Marvel movies". I am 100% certain Gracie did NOT get to see Deadpool. Heck, *I* didn't see it. Although I'm not that prudish and can handle naughty words if they're appropriate. Which they are NOT for a 14yo!

Saw Red Sparrow, with Jennifer Lawrence. Not for everybody. Fans of grungey spy movies or movies about the KGB WILL LIKE IT. I didn't. OK for rental or download if you like to really pay attention to every whisper.

Watched The Circle. Probably would've been better on big screen where there was a chance to read the posts. Otherwise not. Mom didn't understand it, I thought they moved things too quickly (and sometimes way too conveniently) through the plot.

I finally downloaded and watched "Dispicable Me 3". I loved it when Gru clobbered the bad guy with his own music ray machine, by playing the famous "Money for Nothing" guitar rif on it. The rest of the movie was less compelling. Suitable for nieces and nephews.

Not a movie, but I have watched a few episodes of the new Lost in Space on NetFlix.(Not the Billy Mummy series or Matt Le Blanc movie). Same crew of the Jupiter 2 but they have dramatically different personalities and backgrounds.

My bro was just asking about that yest. Neither of us have Netflix so it's moot until they release it on dvd.

No terrestrial cable TV available at my house, Kat and I'm not a fan of direct TV. We just use internet or the old fashioned antenna when we watch the tele.

HOLY CRAP GO SEE AVENGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just be aware it's like a 3 hour movie. And it does feel that long although it is not boring. And it does NOT follow the comics. And I wonder if this will make my set worth more than a quarter each.

I saw it with the wife yesterday (she never misses a Chris Hemsworth movie). The style of the movie was more like a Guardians of the Galaxy flick than a Marvel movie. -I would rather see the Avengers and the Guardians OTG in separate movies. -Deadpool will be released in two weeks!

I saw "Solo" yesterday at the cinema. It was a good movie with plenty of plot twists.

Only problem I see with Solo is the same as Rogue One--you pretty much know the general outcome. RO, you knew everyone had to die, otherwise why weren't they in Star Wars? Solo, you know they survive. So for example that shot in the ads of Chewie hanging off a...train?...with a cliff fast approaching, uh folks he's in no danger you know. Sort of spoils it a bit for me.
Plus the new Lando is so not Billy Dee Williams. Boy did he epitomize the charming rogue!
