We downloaded "Divergent" and watched it. Very thought provoking. Lots of commentary on freedom of speech, political affiliation and other relevant topics.

I'm on the wait list for Pompeii. Got Tangled and Brave meanwhile. Not bad, not great. I'd call them both good average Disney. Best news for the parents is there's no ear worm songs in either. "Let it go, Make it go, make this song go outta my head!"

I saw the "Hundred-Foot Journey". Good movie about the competition between two restaurants and their cultures.

Saw "Interstellar" with Mathew McCon.... and Jane Hathaway. The story was choppy and tough to follow, but it had some good twists in the plot. It illustrated some interesting paradoxes about migrating from this planet to another and travelling at the speed of light. I recommend that you be well rested before seeing it. My wife and I had different recollections of what happened in the film and why. For me, watching this movie was tedious.

Watched Pompeii. Great with the characters, totally beyond sux with the facts. If you know nothing about the eruption of Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii, you'll probably thoroughly enjoy it. If you know anything more than "volcano erupted and city was gone", you'll just get ticked off by all the inaccuracies.
Go rent Dante's Peak instead. Spot on with all the volcano stuff. Yeah, they took some big dramatic license at times, but those are forgivable for getting their science correct. ***** I also checked out the classic old 70s' tv movie Kingdom of the Spiders. OMG, what a blast. Arizona tarantulas get pissed with man and pesticides, and go on a murdering spree in one small town. Because I guess that's what tarantulas do when their food supply is DDTed. Easily as good as anything SciFi is shucking out these days. Plus it stars Bill Shatner.

Saw the new one "Nightcrawler" couple days ago. Good movie, horrid endind. Cheap ticket times only for this one I think there was an Xmen or New Mutant character named Nightcrawler, who had the ability to leave his body and go around doing fun stuff, if I recall correctly. Now that would make a good movie. A movie about paparazzi or other slime, not so much.

Had the ability to teleport, but only if he knew his surroundings, otherwise he could end up in a wall or something.

Like do stuff he didn't really approve of? Maybe acting out his subconscious desires or something?

Saw Mockingjay, the latest Hunger Games flic. Didn't do much for me but my wife liked it. These sequels tend to be heavy on characters and light on story, in my opinion. On the other hand, it illustrates the everpresent conflict between states rights and central authority. It also spent a lot of time showing how famous people are manipulated by governments. I though it was a good movie, but it didn't move me.

I saw the Penguins of Madagascar 2014. It was funny and the story was unpredictable. Made fun of British spy movies a bit.

Saw Mortdecai with Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow. Its a comedy about art theft in Europe. Reminds me of the Pink Panther movies, with a healthy dose of slapstick. My favorite part was a chase scene involving a Ural with a sidecar.

Saw Interstellar. Very interesting, although I'm a bit disappointed in how stupid the smart people got concerning a situation (trying to avoid spoilers here, despite it wasn't a spoiler for me and I wanted to yell out "Just crack the nutter's faceplate already!!!") If you see it in the theatre, check out the close captioning device if available 'cause a LOT of the conversations are REALLY REALLY SOFT.
I'll check it out sometime on dvd, just to get all the talking I couldn't hear.
Also saw Hobbit 3, for the sake of completion. Wasn't a fan of the first two, third one pretty much just fit the others. I doubt I'll buy them, considering I bought Hobbit 1 at a Black Friday stupid-price and just returned it 'cause I hated it so much.

Saw Jupiter Rising. Don't bother seeing it at the theatre.
