Its all defined as"UNDER THE INFLUENCE. Whether it be booze, pot,tranquilizers,pain meds etc. You are not at 100% motor skills and mental ability, therefore, you should not drive. Even a 10'th of a second at high speeds covers an amazing amount of ground!It could mean the difference between life and death.

You have really helped to prove my point guys thanks. The issue with buzzed driving is the driver feels like you do that they have been unaffected by the alcohol when in reality there perception and reaction is affected. Totally hammered drivers normally don't make it far and end up off the road before they can cause much damage. Recent studies find that most accidents are caused by people near the limit and not people totally hammered. You can argue but not with me argue with the facts and reality found by those who have spent years studying the data instead of a few minutes thinking about it.

yeah HE HE what good is that if youre so hammered, you dont know where you are? Ive been there. Had a friend in college who went to an AC/DC concert while in high school. He and his buddies were of course drinking the whole way there. He remembers the first song of the opening band, then throwing up on the side of the road going home. Said that's what woke him up to not drinking so much--it was a REALLY expensive one song! >'Kat |

What would you call Tex ting, applying makeup, reading, no sleep in 24hr. driving Those are just a few of hundreds of things supposed sane & sober people have done while driving to kill some. Drunks do stupid things that's a given. But drunks will sober up.  What about those supposed sane & sober people? Inquiring mind's want's to know.  |
