I want to change the RED dash lights to something else but I don't know where the bulb is. I've removed 5 T-10 bulb's from the back of the dash board on my YY250T but when I start the bike, the dash is still RED. Plus I don't know what the 5 bulbs are for.
HELP!!!!!

The problem is the GLASS around the instruments are RED, so they emit the light as RED. I have the same instrument panel as yours, I know the lighting does nothing for daylight driving only at night does it light up really nice. Alleyoop

HI Alleyoop, Your everywhere, cool. So far I've found 3 scoot boards and your on all three. Thanks for the answer about dash lights. That's kind of a bummer. I have several T-10'a in Green, Amber and a couple in white. I wanted to try and change the Red Dash lights to Green on one side and Amber on the other with, I foolishly assumed there is a middle light to read the instruments so a White T-10 would go there. Seems like most of my plans are dashed. I wanted to put LED's for front and back turn signals. The back work fine, the front LED signals won't work at all. And it's not polarity since turn signals ( 1156) it's a single point contact. Also my Flasher is the same one shown at Roketa.com. There are no pins on the bottom to plug into so I can't change to an LED flasher. So no cool dash lights and no front LED signals, damn... barry

Will they flash with the standard bulbs in? If so then you need a LED type flashing module to make them all flash. The problem with the OEM flasher is it has to have a certain amount of voltage or amp draw to flash and LED's do not provide enough.

Thanks JR, The front signals if the factory bulbs are used, work fine, LED's will not. Your explanation make a lot of sense. Problem is that everyone must have a different YY250T than I do. In the other forums they post pictures of of what they have apparently have. A square 3 bottom pronged LED Flasher. If they would just go to Roketa.com, choose Scooters/Mopeds and see the electric diagram they would see at the bottom, #20. The standard YY250Y flasher unit. Kind of bums me out that no one seems to get this point. What do you think I should do..? barry

[replyingto=barry]barry[/replyingto]I have LED's in everything except my headlights and everything works fine. The flasher blinks a tad fast, but ok.

[replyingto=barry]barry[/replyingto]2008 MC54-250b. I think I saw the flasher behind the dash panel when I had all the tupperware off this spring.

Barry, I have a JCL MP250a (virtually same as urs). Pull the front off and its just a little square black box with the wires plugged in to it. While you have the front off check all the wiring connectons and screws nuts and bolts to especially the little screws holding the wires on the back of instrument panel. The bright green wires are the ground wires and can give u fits. Hope this helps u. Barnie h

What all do you have to remove to get to the back of the instrutment panel. I have an 11 YY250T, I think the right flasher light is burned out.
