You should only use a fuse rated for it . Too strong of a fuse will not blow out fast enough and may result in the wiring to get fried Kevin...it may be ok...siad he is using 15 amp aluminum foil. BBL...our 200 amp main breaker for house keeps tripping off...my daughter is a welder..so I am gonna have 'Tack Weld' the contacts in place so it stops doing that. That should work should it not?...

Glenn I think you meant 20 amp and no not a good idea . Remove a device one at a time from the circuit like TV etc that way to see what is tripping it . A breaker that will not trip is a fire hazard

If the motor in the 250 has the Vertical HELIX 244cc motor that scoot has a 15AMP fuse on the Small RED wire coming off the battery AND has a FUSE BOX as well.
If the motor in the 250 has the Horizontal LINHAI 257cc motor that scoot has a 20AMP fuse on the Solenoid and has NO FUSE BOX. Alleyoop

A breaker that will not trip is a fire hazard Was a joke...and we have 15-20 amp breakers for inside the house..the main breaker outside at the service box is 200 amps though..and most are.

Ok thought so but just wanted to help you be safe just in case Kevin...this is gonna hit home with alleyoop..give him a flashback like it does me... BUT last tine I used aluminum foil on anything electrical...it was on the 'Rabbit Ears' antennae for our 13" Balck and White TV in 1975 so I could watch Gilligans Island after school. Worse part was when the foil would not bring in the local 6 pm news....so my dad made me hold the antennae...move my arm around until the signal came in...smack the TV to get rid of the horizontal scrolling..then stand there for 30 minutes with my arm in the EXACT position so the news channel would come in clear..vice fuzzy. Damn did my arm get tired. I told him it was torture..he said.."No son...I am teaching you discipline"... .....umm not in my opinion...

Just as long as you won't do anything wrong with the electrical components, aluminum foil will do the trick. It does allow a much higher current than a fuse, so you still have to change it out sometime. But at least in the mean time you can ride to autozone or something, to buy a new fuse.
