I wonder if rolling a bit of paper tape around the handle would do the trick?

My Bilt gloves from CycleGear the threads came out and luckily they have a 5 year warranty and I got a new pair without having a receipt They can look up your purchase for around a year in the store and after that it can be requested from corporate. I have found Cycle Gear much better about that sort of thing than Leather Up. It seems that both the Leather Up and Cycle Gear gloves are mostly made in the same factory in Pakistan however with Leather Up if a problem does not show up for a few months then its to bad time to buy a new pair yet Cycle Gear selling the same basic glove, helmet, etc will replace them for 5 years if its their Bilt brand and for as long as you live with the Sedici. The Sedici go on sale regularly for less than $30 and are well worth it for the protection they provide. I have the Bilt Demons for the winter and when it rains. After all how are you going to swipe or key about your accident if your hands are all busted up? How rough would life be if you had a mild accident but couldn't use either of your hands for a few weeks or months because you didn't wear any or had really cheap gloves on?

Oh yes make sure to get WATERPROOF gloves and I like to have a lil sleeve too . Decent gloves are 20 to 60 and Ive seen some Alpine Stars for 220 ( yikes ) . Get gloves that are roomy so you can wear glove liners in the winter like Freeze Outs from CylceGear . Much rather buy new gloves than get roadrash on my hands any day

Riding unprotected and getting a road rash that reveals all of or whats left of the inner you is not much fun at all.

ok I figured out a fix maybe temp or long term who knows.
what I did was wrap black electric tape around them and it works great, totally eliminated the smell. the question is how long will it last, it atleast works for know till the tape starts breaking down.
I may just buy some better grips in the future depending on how long the tape works.
as of right now grips are on hold, cause I just noticed last night theat my speedometer Hub is not working any more. checked the connections and they are good so the money has to go toward buying that.
Peace

electrical tape layers will slide when they get nice and warm, and then all that nice glue... bicycle grip tape or tennis racket grip would be a better choice.
