There's an aluminum part that is held by a bolt at the bottom of the engine. it has a small diameter hose going to it and it has what looks to be some sort of adjustment screw in it. The hose isn't connected to anything, possibly belongs on the charcoal cannister which is broken.

Sorry about the previous failed attempt. It's the piece below the clamp with the brass screw. The hose attaches at the back behind the screw. Attachments:

The other end of the hose isn't attached to anything, where should it go to? The charcoal cannister is where I'm guessing but it's broken and just hanging by a wire tie.

It doesn't go to anything. Its correct how it is. Sometimes there will be a metal clip on the front of the CVT cover to hold it from flopping around but it does not plug into anything. Its just so if you need to drain the gas out of your carb you can do so without spilling gas all over.

Where on the carb does it connect to? It has a hose on the back of it but the end isn't connected to anything.

OK, I used a mirror and looked at the bottom of the carb. There's a nipple on the bottom of the carb with nothing on it. Next to it on the fuel bowl is a brass screw which must be the fuel drain screw. I have a feeling the carb might have been replaced.
