Mine is a 150cc longbo voyager with 12" wheels, and my roadside radar verified speed is 58 mph. GPS says 58.2 mph.

My Lance Vintage with the ovesized Hoca Teflon Performance Variator/Drive Face set and 12 gram rollers would do 65 (GPS verified) on the flats with my 250 lbs on it but would suffer from fuel starvation if I tried to keep that up on long grades. Your engine mounts are too far forward to deal with the touque of the 150 to start with and you may need heavier rollers to match things up better. You may need to change up the gearing if the bike the 150 came from had larger wheels which would be geared lower than on a bike with 10 inch wheels.

I'll push the scoot up to top speeds tomorrow and let you know. I think it actually does run better with the synth oil but who knows for sure... Im predicting my scoot will do 65 indicated. I'll take the GPS though and see what MPH reading it does

I have the 12 inch rim and tire in back which came with the 150 engine so the gearing is the same. Ill take the variator apart and see what roller weights I have. I don't want to do any modifications to the engine itself. So a BBK is out of the question. So it sounds like everyone agrees that I should go with heavier roller weights and possibly a performance variator. Since I have a free flow air filter I'll need to up-jet and I may possibly get a performance exhaust. I just have to find a reasonably priced one. I was just hopeing that there was something out of tune with the engine since my modified 50cc could reach 45mph and many people on here have claims of 55 to 60 on a 50cc.

I got pulled over on my Kymco Super 8 by a state trooper and he said he said that his radar had me going 67 MPH.
I was just testing my scooter to see what it could do...I rarely push it that far. Luckily the trooper was a fellow shipmate of mine from the Navy and he said he would pretend that the whole incident never happened.

Kymco has a BUNCH of neat scooters, with some STRANGE names... I'm thinking that the Like, and the Super 8 are a little bigger than a 150... Something around 160-170cc and fuel-injected. If so, it would account for their performance edge over the Chinese carbureted 150's. If I can save my pennies, I would like to upgrade to a Kymco. Trouble is, I can't make up my mind whether I prefer the Italian-style, or the sport-style like yours. Both are VERY neat! And a BIG upgrade from a Chinese 150. Maybe by the time I can afford one, I'll have made up my mind which one I like best... LOL! Watch out for Smokey on that little hot-rod!Leo in Texas

an Agility 125 is an awesome value oriented scoot, too. handles great once you change the rear tire (or both) and its TOUGH. stands up to abuse, will hit 55mph - 60mph. its real sweet spot is 35-50mph, though. in the city its really great. zippy with decent roll on power for passing and good acceleration to leave cars behind at lights. also an excellent scoot to split lanes with as its low to mid range grunt will keep you moving ahead of traffic

This thread is about a 150cc. On a 50cc, unless you're talking about a 2 stroke, 50MPH is the max speed you would be able to get out of it; unless you got a lot of wind from the rear.

I was comparing my old modified 50cc's top speed to my 150cc's top speed and saying it was odd to me that I only could get about 8 more MPH from a 50cc than a 150cc on the same size frame.

I don't know. My totally stock EVO150 does 60MPH. I'm sure I could equip it with a performance exhaust and heavier rollers too.
