I would fill it myself (it only takes a few minutes of your time, the proper grade of oil and a funnel.) and check it from time to time. But if you're riding a higher speeds frequently, it may be a case of literally blowing your oil out the vent tube.

This might be the cause. (and solution too) No offense to the site..but I bought that same exact part. Autozone..NAPA and Auto Quest have them for $2.99. But with the 150's I have worked on...when it gets to blowing oil..the check valve is just a 'Band Aid' on a deeper problem..that being excessive blow by. All 4 on tear down..I found the oil rings compressed and locked into the piston. 2 had a 'Double Whammy' collapsed oil rings and deteriorated valve stem seals allowing too much oil into the top end..where it was blown out the vent line. Each person gave the same story...they were running WOT for a long stretch of many miles. Said they felt like a sudden but slight power loss..then oil spray. Not diagnosing...just sharing what I found....so it may be worth looking into...

He said he is spitting oil out of the TRANNY VENT HOSE NOT the Valve COVER VENT HOSE. Even put up a picture of the hose spitting out oil.
If it is blowing out of the Valve Cover Vent hose it is most likely someone probably overfilled. If not then he has internal ring problems.
BUT IN EITHER CASE it was overfilled. If so it will stop once it blows out the extra oil or you can drain and fill it properly. Alleyoop

In labor..4 born so far...need any kittens?.. I totally dislike cats. They eat...sleep..scratch up the furniture and ya can't play with them like a dog. Ya toss a stick..the cat just looks at you like yer nuts and seriously need a dog...lol Should we ever get broken into..my dog would shred them...unless he is out on his stake out chain. The cat would bargain with the thieves...."Look rub my belly a minute or 2 and I will show you where they stash all their jewelry and firearms"...

No biggy, 99.9 percent of the time people complain about oil squirting out of the Valve Cover Vent hose. Not many have it squirting out of the Tranny Vent hose. BUT NEXT TIME PAY ATTENTION

BUT NEXT TIME PAY ATTENTION Odd too...cause we have a guy in town that is a tranny...and I never seen him leak any oil. On a serious note..I have never seen a scooter tranny leak oil. But they do only hold about 110cc...so I guess overfilling would be very easy. Also I would like your opinion on this...and from others as well. Many have said to use straight 30w oil in the tranny...others say use 80/ gear oil....and one even told me he uses boat motor tilt/trim oil..huh? What do you use and what do you recommend?..

Valvoline 80/ , if you hear to much noise from the gears put in heavier weight oil it sticks to the gears and quiets them down. Alleyoop

I put to much gear oil in my TaoTao once and it leaked until the level was proper and the it quit leaking. 110 CC is what it takes, any more than that then out the vent hose it goes.

The engine was still found to be out of oil so there is a problem there. The question is now how many miles on the bike and how long have you had it.
It could just need a valve adjustment as blowing out oil which can be sent out a vent tube that comes over the cvt to the back of the gear case is a symptom of excessive crankcase pressure being developed as valves close too early when the lash gets loose.
Also the GY6 is know for loosing oil if you push them before the engine warms up meaning you have to give them light throttle for a few blocks after you first start them up to allow the piston rings to expand so you don't blow your oil out of the engine. Wide open throttle on a cold GY6 can blow out a lot of oil especially if the valves are not adjusted properly.

Alleyoop Actually that is the fitting foward of the shock mount which should be connected to the vent hose from the air box which is a continuation of the crankcase vent system while the tranney vent is a little further back and a bit behind the gear case. The hose that fits to it appears to have broken off possibly when the fitting got twisted around out of its original position.

Aha...so the engine was out of oil..thought I saw that in his post that it was not just a tranny oil problem. He put in an 'up gear' kit by Polini. The gears came as straight cut...vice the helical ones he had. Therefore the gear noise is very audible and annoying. Was thinking the 80/ would help hush them up. What's your thought on that? He complains about the new gears noise...but won't let me fill the tranny with 80/ ....
