Spandi, I got a quick question.. we actually filled up the engine oil earlier today because according to my mechanic.. he had already changed it.. yet today it had none according to the guy who did a quick check up on it. we put in oil already.. how do I know if I have enough? I'm sorry for all these retarded questions. As he said NO ENGINE OIL

Staight cut will require thicker oil since there is less surface on the teeth which means more psi for the lube to bear agains on each tooth. The helical gears had maybe 50 to 75% more surface to spread the load than the straight gears do.

I think the 80/ vice 30w he uses would help some. Annoying to ride next to him..cause when he lets off throttle and decelerates...it sounds like a jet engine winding down
