You can choose 2 options if you wish---not mandatory. If you have 2 problems that are fairly close and can't decide on 1, vote for 2 then.
What's been the absolute biggest thorn in your side, when it comes to issues with your scooter? Mine is the crankshaft---by far. Hands down, the only thing really besides regular maintenance, the only issue that bothers me. I've had the left bearing, right bearing, and rod bearing(twice) go out. I ride full throttle, all the time for many miles per year---and about 100-125 miles per week during spring to the end of fall. Oil change after oil change. Dino, synthetic, synthetic blend--- doesn't seem to matter with the way I ride. I've come to the semi-conclusion that it's not as much as an oil issue as I thought, and more of need for a higher quality crankshaft assembly for the way I ride.
50cc-72cc engine 139QMB, I'll update my signature tonight with that info.
Just curious as to what everyone elses issues are for the most part.

OTHER = few performance parts for my oddball motor. But this year, so far OTHER = WEATHER. There is new snow today.

My issues are bad weather and my center kickstand arm is too small making it tough to lift up. The air filter box and the manual kick start arm get in the way.

Onewheeldrive, Put one of these polls on the 250 and up category also. Good topic for any scooter size. And jeepsteve, Is that a real picture of you

I have honestly tried to come up with some but since I traded in my Lance for my current bike there have been no thorns in the past 15,000 miles. Even the price was reasonable. Rain/weather has not been a problem either.
Having to go to work which is cutting into my riding time is about the only thorn.

THe biggest thorn on my TaoTao ATM50, is slow acceleration from 25-32,5MPH. After 32,5MPH, it goes up, as the engine enters into it's torque band. Probably solvable with sliders/rollers.

And jeepsteve, Is that a real picture of you I didn't mean to leave you guys out I don't really know a whole lot about the 250+ scoots. What other options should the 250 riders have to choose from, that could be added to the poll? I know I left out "cooling". I thought about putting it into the general category to begin with, but I didn't because it seems the 50-150cc scooters are more similar.

The plastics on these Chinese bikes leave a lot to be desired, no matter what the CCs are.
I need to replace several parts around the front due to broken screw holes, cracked plastic etc. And the rattle of it all when riding over rough areas. Granted. I have taken these apart many times for mods or upgrades, but these parts are weak.

Yeah the plastics can be annoying. The plastic broke just below the front of my seat-- where the bolt that holds the seat on goes through. It got bad enough to where I could open the seat and just lift the whole thing off the scooter. I fixed it with some plumbers strap and a couple of screws. I should have reinforced it at the first sign of trouble.

What engine model do you have, out of curiosity? On a side note, I probably should have put "CVT Belt Issues" as an option above. Xingyue ITA 150 with the GY6-B. 16" wheels. Soon to be fuel injected if the weather will be reasonable for a day to two! STILL haven't got to ride yet this season. Less than 10 miles anyhow.

What engine model do you have, out of curiosity? GY6 125 cc, but I changed some parts so it's a 183cc fuel injected engine now.
