Do you think 7g or 9g rollers would work on my scoot for the variator? Yeah. Each gram you go, whether up or down, probably changes the rpms by maybe 500 or so +/-. I like to keep mine between 7k and 7.5k at top speed or pretty close too max speed. 9g will probably be too heavy, unless you weigh 100lbs. I’d start with 7 or 7.5g and work from there. It’s trial and error to get it just right. If I could tell you one weight would be perfect the first try I would. If you knew the weight of the rollers in there already, you could work from there. Did you change the jet when you put your backfiring perf exhaust on?

I put the stock exhaust back on and a # jet in tge carb it starts up first shot and runs beautiful. I just need to tweek the air mixture screw and then it should be golden it runs beautiful on the # and the#34 needle jet. I guess I lucked out with the it was the biggest one I had. Cant wait to do my cvt I'm going with 1500k springs and 7 or 8g rollers. I weigh 215 so I'm hoping that works

I wish I could figure out what's up wih this exhaust maybe it will be ok with the jet. It backfires through the exhaust. My timing is perfect so I don't know what's up with that probably because it's a two fast moto they suck

Even with the BBK and big heads it still needs the stock to run right. The hi perf backfires

I put a 94 needle jet ( idle jet) in and a main jet in the piece of shiitake carb and it flies I weigh 215 and no power loss up hill I can actually increase speed uphill!!! Running great I can't wait to do my cvt with a 2. final gear ratio. This is going to be balls to the wall.

Even with the BBK and big heads it still needs the stock to run right. The hi perf backfires No not really. a true open exhaust once you chop the throttle will back fire completely normal and nature if the beast. Watch a pro dirt or flat track and when they chop the throttle going into the corner they all pop.. You can fatten up the jetting to minimize it but thats about it. I just deal with it..
