What is a good brand of BBK to purchase?I'm looking for reasonably priced with excellent quality parts!! What ya for a Scoot? make,model Displacement? For the now if its a GY Taida is the cream of the crop. And a BIG BUYER BEWARE!!! on the rest of the Mfg's ALotta just plane junk out there, perfect circles off center, saw the skirts of a piston and sell it as cleared for a stroker crank, etc, etc ,etc .... |

This is one man's opinion........if your 50cc isn't enough power/speed, get a 150cc machine. If a 150cc isn't enough to float your boat, move up to a 250cc machine, and so on. Don't try to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear....You'll be a happier camper.

I have a 50cc taotao atm50A with the 1p39qmb. Jut got my BBK Impusa brand egr friendly 50mm bore 64mm high dome head and a A9 raceing cam.$94- I hope this brand is good.does anyone know of this brand that I'm going to blow up soon.lol I don't know what to do for a crankshaft? Also got a raceing clutch w/ 8g rollers and the rear 2k clutch. Kevlar belt for the cvt. I don't know much scoot lingo so speak english thats easy for me to understand!!!

I took a lookseee at the Impusa, Pret much all the same over on eBay.
Busts my chops that all those mfg's over there are marketing the 50mm bbk as "100cc" they still can't do the math and folks buy them ands report as a matter of fact..
Not sure what your looking for in the end but more than many are disappointed on a 50 build, Don't expect much..

Do you know Impusa is made in Tiawan? I hear Tiawan parts are much superior opposed to chinese parts? I enjoy knowledge and rebuilding my scooter gives me knowledge. I'm disabled so I can't wrench on cars anymore. I know I can buy a motor w/ cvt for$230 +or-. I'm gonna have some fun with my 50cc and my foot can touch the ground. I like the size of the frame. Any one have a taotao 50cc engine cooling shroud? I know I don't know it all yet, but I will catch up!! So ligit answers only please I'm on the learning curb.

So ligit answers only please I'm on the learning curb. ozzy try not to get all that caught up into the quality difference, I've heard all kinds of net link and not one walks the talk with data or pictures. You got what ya paid for, even the ok product is just fine of the forgiving GY so take your time and learn from the build and have fun.. So here is some ligit, two different mfg's with the same Casting supplier and the supposed higher end Tiawan mfg sawed off the piston skirt to clear stroker applications. they ruined it.. And Im sure you just saw " yup that was pun!" it here first.. |

  The forging in there has a shorter pin boss and "slipper" style skirt.. And you can see the supposed high end whatever sawed off the skirt.... |

Pretty much all major parts sites have the 139qmb/1p39qmb fan cooling shroud, and many have a search bar so just type in “shroud”. Some sell the upper and lower halves separately.

Thanks for the info my piston has the piston skirts. I haven't pulled my motor apart yet, but it supposed to have the 100cc kit I got ripped off for when they just installed the piston and put the stock head back on it and then charged me again to rejet my carb. Frigin scumbags. I plan on getting my money back for doing half of the job. I have to measure the piston and go from there. Yes I'm gonna have fun doing my own rebuild so I know it's done right!! lol

I found the engine cooling shroud on scrappydog for $14.  Thankyou so much. I was going crazy trying to find this part. God Bless and be safe driving toose super fast 50cc mopeds lol!!! Thanks Mark!! |

I found that Impusa is made in china cheapo!! And the place was importusa alias Impusa! I could have spent half of what I did not counting the extra parts that didn't come with the kit. It's only money right! Getting ready for my rebuild, and I'm hoping it rocks.I'm using 1500k rear clutch springs, but I don't know what to put in for variator rollers to get my take all around performance and good high end speed, and around city driving? I want the best of both worlds.
