I just rebuilt my motor with a 100cc BBK All I have is. Stock carb right now I have a # 34 needle jet and I had a # main jet it moved great uphill didn't loose any speed but on the flat road I couldn't do over 40mph. I'm buying a high perf carb at the beginning of the month, but until then anyone have some experienced ideas they can send my way? I just put a # with the #34 needle jet! Have any thoughts? Or remedies?

Check that Belt Climb, theres MPH in there for the taking.... In all reality don't expect a whole bunch more from 81.28cc than 40-44 mph or so in the end... If she pulls strong from the bottom than drop the rear gear to get a few more mph.. Good luck..

I'm rebuilding my cvt next week with 1500rpm rear clutch and 7g rollers in the new variator! Any thoughts? Am I doing this correctly for a good setup?

I think the stock rollers are 13g not sure. Anyone know how to correct the carb on the 50cc i just put the 23mm intake 20mm exhaust. What should I do to this carb besides junk it? How about some educated answers? I appreciate all the good info or even just a chat about scoots!! Thanks guys

My 50cc taotao 1p39qmb did about 45mph with a 50mm piston and the stock head, stock carb wit a #30 needle jet and a #80 main jet had good all around power take off mids were ok and good high end. What should this do for speed with a 50mm piston 23mm intake and 20mm exh. I'm thinking 55 about? How about a little knowledgeable information!! I would appreciate it much!!

How much does the cold temperatures riding affect the performance of a scoot or does it have no effect?

How much does the cold temperatures riding affect the performance of a scoot or does it have no effect? The CV carb is very forgiving so once warmed up no big deal. We can discuss the whole colder more dense air thing but again with the CV carb its a Non issue..

With Stock Gearing not much over 45mph, its only going to go so fast at lets say 8,000rpm with stock gearing.. But more power to ya, would be cool Im wrong..

Thanks guys I enjoy the tuning part so now living in Tobacco country I went to the corner store "smoke shop for " tobacco use only" dope scale Do you now have a free flow exhaust on her? I wouldn't recommend anything over stock carb with stock exhaust... On the carb you should have stock 18mm, think keeping velocity up, intake charge, more flow is not always the hot setup. I see some 20 and 23mm CV style carb out there. just don't over carb it..

With the 49/17 gears you’d probably get close to 50mph.
The stock rollers are probably in the 8.5g range unless someone changed them. Pretty much every engine and new complete variator set that I’ve bought came with rollers in that range. If they were 13g you would be lucky to make it up a hill on a stock 50.
