bf just got his used 300 wildfire, changed the spark plug and fuel filter but still stalls out at the stop signs and then wont start back up.. any ideas?

First I'd ask, Did he do a PDI when he got it? (changing fluids, checking vacuum lines for leaks and intakes, air filter, well you got the idea) the scoot may need to have the valves adjusted (how many miles) I'd run some sea foam in the gas tank, that will help clean tank and carb

If after you run it and get it nice and hot and you come to a stop and it dies and does not want t start UNTIL IT it COOLS DOWN, then it is our valves. If the Valves are already tight when they get hot they expand and that leaves usually the EXHAUST valve which takes a lot of heat open a little and you loose compression. When that happens they will not hold low idle and die and will either not start until it cools off and the valve again seals then it will start. Alleyoop
