Rockford fosgate amp and really nice speakers custom made into the side. This thing rocks like the volt meter to measure volts. You can add a capacitor to save the battery but with scooters all you do is rev it to get the regulated and stator giving major current to it. ;D

Its very nice. others here add a ugly box that takes up most of the room where your feet go. A capacitor is a great idea!

Those Caps are Sick Strong, With 4 amps at idle he should be able to rock the house. I had a 1000 amp driving 2 12 woofers cranking 80bd and the amp draw was an even 10 amps. 4 amps "little bitty scooter charging system" is manageable. Understandable not enough power but if he only drives 1 woofer it is enough. Run that amp bridged to 1 woofer and she be happy.

Very nice but in the U.S if your making a racket like that you will get a nice ticket, not everybody wants to go deaf Alleyoop Its the same way here. Most only turn on the music while riding down the highway or the back country roads. if we go through towns then we turn it down.

How do you power all that my scooter has a hard time lighting one headlight. LOL. We have a separate battery for the system. Charged with a battery tender every night. It last about 4-5 hours on one charge. We are working on finding a Flexible solar panel thats small that can be mounted on the luggage rack. but the ones we find don't have any way of regulating the charge.

How to power it is a good question. A modified stator to fullwave with the fullwave regulator is good for 3.5-4.5 amps.
The rest of the power would be coming from the battery. or Battery/cap combo.
This scoot looks like it has a 15 amp hour battery so fully charged it can deliver 7.5 amps for an hour before it is l dead. Dead meaning half of its rated power is used up and it's voltage is at 12.00 volts.
7.5 - 4 = 3.5 amps draw engine on it will go 2 hours.
This is of course with a new battery.
So as a custom Show piece that can crank out the tunes for a short duration is what it is all about.
My test show 10 amps on a mosfet amp 1000 watt driving 2 12" woofers would use at 10 amps steady at a nice volume level. This is with 250 AH battery Bank.
Like they say Down Iland on the sailboats, It's all about the Amps baby.

First of all most Police depts don't have the budget to put a decibel meter in every car. So if you take it to court it's your word against the Cops, and without a preset standard for decibel readings it won't hold up in court. What is considered loud to some people is perfectly normal to others. I personally only listen to metal and metal MUST be listened to at MAX volume at all times!! That's the way it was recorded and meant to be listened to!! However I don't ride with music playing, you need your full undivided attention on the road at all times. Part of that also means you need an EAR on the road as well as an eye.

I told him what about decibel readings. he said he dont need it that its too loud. Ticketed $150.00 should have taken it to court.

Well tell them if you get charged for music too loud then every Harley on the road needs a ticket as it is 4 times louder by decibles than any radio you can build. No exception to the loudness laws anywhere.
