Not true everywhere, they tried that here but a Judge will always throw it out. First of all most Police depts don't have the budget to put a decibel meter in every car. So if you take it to court it's your word against the Cops, and without a preset standard for decibel readings it won't hold up in court. What is considered loud to some people is perfectly normal to others. I personally only listen to metal and metal MUST be listened to at MAX volume at all times!! That's the way it was recorded and meant to be listened to!! However I don't ride with music playing, you need your full undivided attention on the road at all times. Part of that also means you need an EAR on the road as well as an eye.
