Break it in like you are going to run it man,,all that break in stuff is a myth,,I worked along side Bob Hannahs mechanic and he always told us to break them in hard....been doing it for over 30 years with no issues DROP THE HAMMER!!!

The slides are so much more responsive than the CV carbs,,there is no lag time at all,,its just BOOM your on!!!! If I ever get a bigger carb its gonna be a slide,,also has alot less BS that can go wrong with it,,much simpler!

I would think he has to take it a little easy before he goes and does a top speed rip run on a new motor like that...let those rings break into the cylinder for at least 50 miles BTW-I got 16/37 on my 60mm stock block an its plenty of motor to pull it through the gears too top speed,,no sweat at all..its all in the tuning,,you can even set up a stock motor to work at 100% efficiency on 16/37 gear with a little bit of tuning,air/fuel, and flow And I am talking about big wheels 13" hahaha....if I was him I would put the 18's in it,,just beef up to the stronger clutch pack

Nice,,yeah might try to mount it in front of the valve cover someplace,,even if you put a small fan on the cooler,,that would be too cool If you bolt it to the flywheel fan cover all the heat from the cooler is going to go through the engine cooling covers,,that may cause the motor to run a bit hotter...I would wrap the header pipe on that sucker too,,i did mine and it made a huge difference with heat around the motor

Wisco has a chart on their site with a formula for all sizes and applications. All it takes is one over sized ring to destroy a jug, piston, and possibly the valves. One of these folks round here was on that team that wrote those destructions. What do you need to know? and we do remember the Most important part of installing those Curclips right? hurry search gggl. ATM I dont need to know anything but if I ever do,,you will be the first one I ask.......yeah on the circlips,,after they are in the groove I like to give them a spin too confirm they are snapped in...a little oil in the groove never hurt either....I use Rotella syn-blend for assembly lube on all my motors,,have it in a little squirt can ready to roll Man its a nice day out here,,Im gonna go fire up the mini bike and let her rip for a few miles,,before we know it,,the cold will be here. BTW-Thats a great post on that other forum pistonguy,,very interesting.
