Your project looks better than mine... I'm moving this weekend and we are moving some of the heavy furniture so we can finally start staying in the new house. Worst part is the refrigerator. To get it out of the kitchen, we have to remove all doors and trim. It is still a press fit to get it through the doorway, and to get that, we have to remove the moulding around the door and it's a press fit even then... Moving the bed, furniture, clothes, entertainment center, and kitchen stuff... Take the door off the refrigerator. It's alot easier than removing wood trim, Just unbolt it. ;D

so My reach may be exceeding my grasp eh. I am mechanically inclined, but it sounds like you guys are telling me the scoot won't do a long trek. It does seem that hear about people scooting all across europe from time to time. imo a china scoot can be nearly as reliable as a piaggio if you do a full pdi. i would also opt to upgrade the tires... i would still be hesitant to drive across country in an air cooled scooter though. maybe it can be done but i would look for a liquid cooled scoot, something like the cf moto glory would be my choice for a reliable scoot.[/quote Nothing wrong with air cooled, all small planes are air cooled ,and they are eextremely dependable, In fact, i think air cooled when properly engineered is even better than liquid cooled. less mechanicals to go wrong. IMHO

The gas tank looks like it came from a home generator! Baja motorsports made something like that.

>:(What sucks about it is, He basically painted a very large target on your ride. Maybe thats a blessing in a way, because i'm sure you will now make sure it is in ship- shape at all times, and ready for inspection

Yeah I've dumped one or two in my day,and seen good friends have nasty crashes. None of them or me walked away that easy. What got me ,is how he recovered and walked normally away.Since you mentioned it though, I watched it a lot closer, and I do see his leg and foot twisting under the bike. He got real lucky. Just the way it was shot sort of gave me some doubt.
