I'm wondering if how tight the variator was didn't have something to do with it. That and it was very dry seemed like no lube at all on the rollers. Is that normal or should I take it back apart and oil them, and I will be ordering sliders the 8g rollers came with my kit I ordered. No chance to weigh them yet but I will be carrying one in my pocket for when the chance comes by.
Next scoot I get I will not be going back to the same guy, is seems EVERYTHING has been either lose or overly tight and just one thing after another that should have been at least checked before it was put on a floor to be sold.
I really don't think it was the BBK that caused that to happen with the rollers though, I have only put about 20 miles on the BBK so far.

Looks like it might be a vent hose. My erg has one start the scoot and put a finger about an inch away from it if you feel hot air blowing out I would say thats it. Or possibly the carb vent hose.
But I could be wrong, being that is has not made a problem I would guess it is one of the two.

Well the belt " looks " ok and is the variator supposed to be ultra tight? I broke a socket, and lifted my scoot off the ground a few times before I finally got it loose. It just seemed impossibly tight, the rollers that came out of it look trashed. I believe at one point they where white, but I can literally feel the difference between the stock ones and the 8g. Is it normal for the stock rollers to be so light you can feel it when holding a single roller in the same hand? Plus as I said I " think " they where white. I have Never delt with rollers before so I have o idea what " normal " is, they only have about 250miles on them but look like they have 1000. ( To me at least ) I'm going to try and get a pic up.

I was thinking something like that but I was worried about breaking the teeth off. Now that I know that is not an issue I will be changing them out soon to see what happens, thanks alot! Now I have a new problem though, I guess the BBK is to much for the belt because I keep smelling burning rubber once I stop all the lines are fine but serious amounts of rubber dust in the housing. I was wondering if a " high quality " lawnmower belt the same length would work. The scoot is my only means of transport right now so I don't have time to wait on one to show up.
I still have the crappy stock belt on it, I know it needs replacing but I have to do it on the fly to make sure I get to work. Other than that the BBK has been doing great, trying to find a way to hitch the exhaust up too, the one that came with the kit is about 1/2 inch off from the mounts I don't want to force it and snap the exhaust lags but I can't bend the metal either.
However other than the small issues no " major " mechanical issues out of the kit so far. I'm pleased with it, hitting every bit of 50 according to the speedo at least. I am going to get a bike speedo this week and check it with that just to make sure. The stock runs on KM with mph as the secondary so i'm betting it is 5-10 off (either direction) trying to read the mph.

Awesome thank you. ;D I am going to replace all the springs in the clutch next week. Don't have the money to this week. I have 8g rollers that came with the kit, just do not have the means to be able to change them right now. It's lighter rollers for hills and acceleration and heaver for speed right? I think my A/F might still be slightly off. It's really hard to hear the slight adjustment it causes at idol, I live by a main road through town and constant traffic.

0-40 in about 3.5 seconds 1/2 throttle no word on top yet, speed limit on my road is only 35 and got a cop around who likes to pick on me, impounded my scoot a couple weeks ago so he could get his ticket count. But everything seems to be going great after adjustments, going to take it to work tonight 6 mile ride. Will know top speed and over all ride in general after that.
So far so good and very pleased with the results, still need to get an NGK plug and I think that is about it.
EDIT: Not taking it to work tonight or tomorrow due to storms. So I won't get to test it out fully till Sunday. Currently running 7.5 rollers, should I go lower or stay where I am? Another thing, where do I get a clutch tool for these things so I can replace the spring with a 1.5k

I can't tell you the exact psi of the compression. But being that you say it should be around 120 and trying to kick start it I have to put most of my weight on it at 150 and everything feels and sounds smooth i'm guessing it's not to far off that mark. I replaced the valve head and it picked up a little more. I know it fires on that one, the erg or whatever the thing is is hooked back up. So really the only thing left is the carb and the bbk that it has not fired on. Still have not tried to start it yet today. Getting ready to push it outside and give it a shot. EDIT: Stepped out cranked it and poof it starts . Getting ready to head back out and do my final A/F and idol adjustments then take it for a test run down the road!!!!! So excited!!!!!!1 ;D

Well got my bbk in put the new cdi on and fired it up to make sure it was going to work then started in on the bbk. Got all that done put the new carb on and adjusted the af 1 1/2 turns out to start didn't work. The bbk I got does not have the ( erg?egr? ) ports on it, and I have really low compression, so I am going to toss my stock valves back on and see what happens in the morning. It fired on them a few hours ago so if still nothing at least I know the problem is somewhere else. Everything is smooth it's not struggling to crank, have spark, gas, oil all going fine. So I figure the valves are not set right ( I don't have the tools yet to check ) Was really looking forward to getting it out tonight for a small ride but alas, it sits another day.

I will make sure to get all that done with the kit, I know it fires right up right now. So I think what I am going to do is piece it all together one part at a time and fire it up between that way if I have any issues it's not going to be ten options. Figured it would be easier to troubleshoot that way. Just the main items though as in the bbk, cdi, coil and carb. Everything else should not cause a firing issue. Thanks for the heads up and the welcome. ;D Also wondering what are the " best " generally speaking fluids to run for a bbk break in? Never done one on a 50cc or a 4 stroke for that matter always been 125+ 2 stokes.

Lurked around for a while searching for answers on my 2011 atm50-a 1p39qmb. Found something rather interesting wonder if anyone else has ever had to deal with it, I bought the scoot and was told it was a 2012. Whats funny is the body VIN is 2011 but the engine is stamped for 2012 and matches the body VIN. The registration papers from the state mark it as a 2011. I just found it interesting, from what I know it is not a major issue of any sort.
Currently stock but plastics removed waiting for my stage 7 50mm bbk, head, carb, air filter, exhaust, coil, CDI, 8g rollers all included.
However when looking over it I noticed half the lines about to fall off, no plastic bell on the carb and a multitude of other small issues leading me to believe that the guy I bought it from at the flea market set it up to fail so I would have to go back to him ( so he thought ). I'm half expecting to get in the motor and the valves not be adjusted or the piston upside down, and/or out of timing. From day one I thought it felt weaker that it should have been even for a 50 ( Used to race and work on dirt bikes ). Just a warning to anyone in the Southern ohio area I would stay away from Ceasers Creek flea market. The sad part is I heard great things but now I see the real deal coming out of there and will not be going back.
