Piston to valve clearance - Anyone know I can check that before I install my new cylinder head ?
It was mentioned on another forum and I am clueless on this.

In Kentucky I pay $105.00 a year for insurance on my 150cc + tax / tags. Insurance = 29 cents a day / $8.75 a month. Not bad. Given the economy and gas prices, more people may start riding scooters. More people riding scooters and paying taxes and insurance means a bigger voice for scooter riders. Enough people complain and they might change those electromagnetic coils in the pavements at street lights so they will actually change when my scooter is at the light.

Alleyoop---> Thanks,...Again. Tomorrow I am going to try and upload the A9 cam and Big Port Valve Head photos with some digital caliper measurements along with the same on my originals for comparison. I already found some measurement differences in the cam holder on the new head and want to make sure my new stuff is not defective. Being my third head change in under 7,000 miles I'm getting weary of of the labor and looking forward to simply enjoying the ride.

Alleyoop---> Thanks,
Are there any "BEWARE" / "LOOK OUT FOR" info upfront with my install plans..... Like timing mods / valve spec changes, etc.
My upgrade will consist of the A9 cam and Big Port Valve Head with stainless steel valves and High Compression Valve Springs Rated to 12,000 RPM ----- this all on a stock cylinder. gy6150

Just saw a video on a guy that installed an A9 camshaft and has a problem. Just want to make sure I don't have problems like him. Cant find specs (way of measuring A9 cam) prior to install to make sure its not faulty / actually an A9. My upgrade will consist of the A9 cam and Big Port Valve Head with stainless steel valves and High Compression Valve Springs Rated to 12,000 RPM . Just curious what this guys problem may be and how I can "AVOID" the problem with my setup. A9 camshaft problemThanks for any "BEWARE" / "LOOK OUT FOR" info upfront..... Like timing mods / valve spec changes, etc.

Money - Items I purchase for the upgrade include: 1.) big port cylinder head 2.) valve cover (my old one was EGR / P.A.I.R) 3.) A9 Camshaft 4.) Performance intake 30mm 5.) high flow exhaust This cost a bit of money ! Sometime back I got a 26mm cab with the pumper on it - plan on up-jetting that. Also, I have changed the final gears, performance coil / CDI and changed the air filter to uni style. Cylinder head temperature gauge helps me monitor / gauge the air - fuel mix..... temps average 260 - 300 deg pending ambient temp and cruising speed. I don't race - I just want a smooth running / cool temperature / top speed that keeps up well with traffic / and good pep when accelerating.... can't find "CERAMIC" rear "shoes"..... have new CERAMIC front pads though. Going faster is a bad idea ...... Unless you can stop faster.

UniqueSP --> Thanks for the info.
I thought about a BBK....... And thought about it. "Money" :oended my thinking which is a drag given all the work it takes to remove / put everything back on. I just hope the 8 parts I ordered today correct power / performance issues, ya know.
The exhaust I ordered stated "high performance". it looked like a free flow from the pics.
I will write a review on the items I ordered (ebay, scooterelements, etc) once received / inspected / installed.... which might be 10 - 14 days or so.

If I install a "Big Port Valve Head" for an upgrade on my gy6150 (stock cylinder - NO bbk) would I need a bigger tailpipe to run to the muffler ? I ordered a performance muffler but haven't really planned for the tailpipe.... because I do not know if I need a bigger tail pipe. Do I
