Terminators never sleep. Sleeping is not macho. The Borg technically don't sleep, but they must regenerate every so often.

"PHONE BOOTHS are gone" Super heros must now use porta-potties to don their uniforms. I bet they change a lot faster now than they did in the phone booths.

Like Los Angeles in the 1970s.

I remember hearing about the purge. For one day, anything goes and nobody gets arrested. Was it as much of a downer as the trailer made it out to be, or was it a good movie, Kat?

Correct, Kat. I should have given Allan Copeland credit for the original composition. Hearing an orchestra perform the fanfare would be awesome.

When I was in the Marines, we went to 29 Palms every fall for desert training. We had to drive across a dry lake called Emerson Lake to reach our objective. ELP tunes always passed through my mind while crossing that dry lake.

My resolution is to wash my scooter more more often. What's yours? EnginE hop up? Better lights? Epic Scooter road trip?

I saw plenty of mopeds in the 70s that were started by pedaling. To me, if it doesn't require a pedal start, it's not a moped.

Loved Fanfare for the Common Man by ELP. I loved that is was the theme music for CBS Sports Spectacular for years. My favorite ELP tune was From the Beginning, or something to that effect. It was mainly acoustic guitar, with a few solos on the synthesizer and electric guitar. Never understood why it was omitted from the ELP greatest hits album.

I had always told myself that if I found a Linhai 260 on CL in good shape, I would pounce. Found this one but, alas, I recently bought a house and just can't do it now. Ain't that the way it goes. Needs a windshield and they are hard to find. houston.craigslist.org/mcy/5935048379.html

I saw Sully. It is about the dual engine failure and safe, dead stick landing on the Hudson River. Slow moving movie, except when the NTSB investigators were questioning the pilots. The harsh questioning of the pilots by the NTSB was not exaggerated. I was a military pilot for five years and we were told that we could expect that treatment by a field flight performance board following a crash or serious incident. I never did any piloting after leaving the military. I was lucky and never had to face such a board, but I knew people that did.

Great article, w650. A friend of mine had one of the 2 stroke 500s when I was in high school. It's much easier to find parts for the Yamaha RD 2 strokes, but i'd rather have a KawI triple.

"Oh m'goodness". Not particularly macho, but funny and made many movie appearances. I think he was Uncle Arthur on Bewitched.

Bruce Wayne. He could really drive that Batmobile and he had a bigger vocabulary. Who else uses words like insegrevious?
