I have a set of hoca 16/42 gears, but haven't installed them yet. I currently have a 16/50 set in my trike now, and I loose a lot of up hill speed already. I am like you thinking It will really slow down on the hills. I may try them when I finally get around to installing the stroker engine I have built. I just don't have much time to mess with it these days. I also have an airsal kit I am wanting to install. I might try the gears when I get it installed.

I have used mystery oil for many years in my small engines, lawn mowers, garden tractors, ect.. I even add a little to the weed eater and chain saw fuel.

I don't know if fuel will eat the loctite or not, it doesn't state on the package. It may be hard to get the small screw back out though. If you do use it you will want to drain the bowl and make sure the threads are dry.

Both of my trikes came with kenda tires on them. The rear tires on my trikes are actually trailer tires, so I can't give you a true analogy of a scooter tire. I haven't had any problem with the front tires. So far the wear is good, but a trike steers and handles differently than a two wheeler. When it comes time to change them I will probably look at a higher quality tire.

We called it slug bug when I was a kid. I always liked them 1/2 beetle trikes.

How do ya watch it live on tv? ;D When I was young we used to watch from my grand parents house. We would barbeque in the front yard and sit in lawn chairs with a pair of binoculars. It just ain't the same anymore with the paved road.

Sorry to hear about the broken vice and gear puller. If you don't get them started straight they will never go back on. Probably best to let someone with the proper equipment do it.

An easy way to get broken off keys out of the switch is put a drop of super glue on the piece you have in your hand use a small screw driver or something like it ht hold the little door open then put your drop of super glue on the key then stick it in and hold it till it drys some then gently pull the key out If ya use to much super glue and it oozes off the key into the lock, you may not be able to get the broken piece out and the lock may not work again. I have ran across this many times, and It cost the customer a whole lot more for me to replace or repair the lock. The best way is to use a broken key extractor. You can make one out of a straightened out safety pin, then bend the sharp end into a very small hook. You should use the smallest diameter pin possible. If there is room insert the pin in the side of key way and twist the pin so the hook grabs the key and pull out. With a pair of hemostats or very small needle nose pliers grab the key. You may have room to insert the pin into the top or bottom of the key way, push the pin up or down so the hook grabs the biting on the key and pull out. Roy

I know this topic has been discussed before, but my search comes up nadda. MY new GMAX54 helmet will not fit in my trunk, so I will be looking for a new one. Also my magnum does not have a trunk and the new helmet will not fit under the seat, so I will be adding one to it also.

If you do order a new counter shaft reduction gear you will have a spare stock gear. So if you need to change them back, no pressing would be needed.

They have more color choices now, when I bought mine all they had was red and white, blue and white, or black and white. I really like the metallic yellow and white. I like highly visible colors.
