My battery is fully charged. Electric start works great. Horn works. And headlight works.
The turn signals WERE working fine, and now they're not. First they got weak, and now they just don't work at all.
Any thoughts?

Recheck the compression when the motor I'd fully warmed up. I'd bet it low.

It's a 49cc 2 stroke and I may be incorrect about the jet size. It was really dark!! I'm just getting a hesitation at WOT and it's getting annoying. New plug. Good gas. Great compression, it's all there.

I was thinking about going JUST a little bigger in size on the jet in my carb.
From a 107 to a 115. Can I just swap it? Or will I need to modify any else at the same time?
Thanks

Yup, that's what I thought. Luckily its a straight forward repair. Not too expensive if you cant do it on you're own, really cheap if you can.

So I think my issue has evolved into a whole new issue. Now, when I ride the scooter uphill, or at WOT, it cuts out all together. I'll be driving along, and then the motor bogs for just a second, then picks back up right away.
It's much worse when going up hill. It cuts out, picks up, cuts out, picks up. It feels like its going to die, but it just doesn't. It keeps running.
Then when I get to a flat, it starts running like Usain Bolt!

So does anyone know which torque spring would be best in order to not loose to much off the line, but help climb hills a little better?

Sounds like a compression issue if, IF!! You properly cleaned the carb.

What's your torque spring rated at? That's a great question. The Jog is new to me. So maybe that's a great place to start Edit: Can you tell me a little about the different springs? From what I'm reading, there's 3 different types. 1000, 2000 and 3000?? Is that right? Would one or the other help me get up hills better without compromising the overall awesomeness of my scoot? Right now its grease lightning off the line! My 1990 Jog DESTROYS my 2003 BWS. (I actually traded my 03 BWS for this 1990 Jog)

So I have a 1990 Yamaha Jog 50cc. (It's a Japanese import)
It starts great, runs great, it's fast and fun.
Going up hills?? Not so much! I can barely hit 40kph up hills.
I've owned lots of scooters, and usually when they've run this good, they fly uphill.
Any ideas??
Thanks!
