My belt snapped on me 2 miles from home, I have an Advance Auto store 1 mile from me. Other parts stores can get belts, could Advance get them? I can order from Walt or Monstergy6, but I need it asap.

The head depends on which one you buy I'd run the domed forged piston with a 58.5 head and the flat piston with a matching 61mm head don't go over the piston size on the head lowers compression and produces less power Ok, I think Im settled on the Taida 161 bbk non-forged kit from ScooterElements, it doesnt say if it is flat or domed piston on their site. I'm also gonna get the matching 61mm head as well, and the A-13 cam, unless anyone else thinks another cam is better? How does this setup sound? Thanks, Randy

Well its the Taida 61mm bbk from scooter elements, thought I'd buy from Walt since he has answered questions for me on here and everyone else, so I should get the 61mm head right?
Millsc, why did you go with the A13 cam? Is it good for your setup? Would it be good for what I'm attempting with the 61mm Bbk?

Get a matching 61mm head Id get the forged piston 61mm taida kit with domed piston and 58.5 head but its not listed anymore. I'm pleased with my 60mm kit and big port head cost 150 bucks total for motor and happy with my a13 cam I got for 26 bucks got it all from walt Why could I not use the 63mm head? Would I see more performance with the 63mm head over the 61mm head? Or do they have to match? Just wanting the best for my application, without splitting the cases....

My last post said that my plug was crossthreaded in the head, making my plug not go all the way in, so instead of just getting a new head, and since my scoot is all torn apart, I thought I'd just do the BBK while im already taken apart. I want to get the Taida 161 BBK from Walt at scooterelements. My 1st question is: what size head would I need? 61mm, 62mm, or 63mm? I want to get the Taida head as well. My 2nd question is: What would be the best size Cam to go with? Keep in mind with all the other mods in my sig below. Thanks and everything is Greatly appreciated!

Can the electronic choke go bad? I have noticed in the last few months, my scoot is getting really hard to start. After it has been parked in the building over night, the next day it takes me like 3-5 times to get it started, then I smell gas. My scoot has always started easy the 1st time ever since I bought it new, even started the 1st time in the cold winter months. It now has 8700 miles, all of my mods are in sig below. I'm thinking I might get another kind of carb. Any suggestions? Thanks to everyone! So, my brother did the valve adjustment to .oo4 on both, figured out the problem, my sparkplug is cross threaded in the head! Now what the crap am I to do now? Besides buy a new performance head?

Get a taller set like 16 37 or 16 36 will for sure lower rpm and give you a top end boost I counted the teeth on the gears that came out of it stock and they are 13*40. My scooter repair guy put in NCY 15*36 gears. Which one of the sets would you reccomend installing? Thanks, Randy

My advice is to keep the Dr pulley you spent too much on it to take a loss I'd get a set of gears to take advantage of the rpm you'd gain speed and lower rpms at the same time I already have put taller gears in, its the NCY gears in my sig below. Not unless my local scooter guy ripped me off and just told me he put the gear set in? You see, I told him to order me the NCY taller gears, I paid him, then he ordered them, few days later they came in at his house, then he called me and came over and installed them. I had known the guy for a while and done a lot of business with him, I don't think he would have ripped me off. I thought he could have took my taller NCY gear set out of the box, and put the same stock gears back in the box, and came over and thought I wouldn't know any better. Dang if I know.......

Just put my new Dr. Pulley variator in, before I had a Koso look a like off ebay which worked just fine, anyways, I am very disappointed in the Dr. Pulley variator! I also put in Dr. Pulley 11gram sliders in, went to work the next day for the first ride and noticed my rpms shot up drastically to 7000-8000 rpms, and my speeds went way down. Before was the koso variator mentioned above, with koso 12gram rollers at 6000 rpms cruising at 50+mph. I even put in Hoca 14 gram rollers in the Dr. Pulley variator and still high rpms. I'm gonna put in my previous setup tonight and see what happens, I will reply the results tomorrow. Thanks to all, Randy Well, I put my previous setup in last night, and everything is back to normal. I paid 110.55$ for the Dr. variator and sliders and all it did was hurt my performance. I could have bought one of those flatside carbs that uses no vacuum. Guess I will be putting the Dr. variator for sale, but I don't recommend using it. The build quality is good but that's about it.

When it starts to slip a little I unglaze them, Don't forget my Trike weighs 350lbs plus my 180lbs that is almost 500 lbs it has to get moving so the clutch has to grip the bell good. But it is good for about 2000 miles before It slips a little taking off. That is very common with the 250 scoot because of the weight they start to shudder taking off when initially moving the dead weight. Once it moves the dead weight then they are ok, but a lot of the folks try to start off really slow and that causes the clutch pads to glaze quicker not enough centrifugal force to grab the bell good. Alleyoop So, pretty much sand the clutch pads with sand paper? What grit paper? I might get the NCY clutch again.....

I was looking at a Velocita clutch from Monstergy6. Anyone ever heard of that brand?

Hello all, Going to replace my clutch to something better. Right now it is a stock oem clutch with ncy 2k springs in it, and ncy 2k torque spring. I had an ncy clutch in it before (the blue one) with the 2k springs in it, and the pads wore down real quick, so I put my stock clutch back in with the 2k springs, so far that's what Ive been running since the ncy clutch wore out. Im wanting to get another aftermarket clutch, so.....which is the best one?
Thanks to all, Randy
