you will need a good battery (not from wallymart) the one i bought from battery mart says right on the box 180 cold cranking amps called a big crank $60 also the gold CDI from Tvnacman seems to have helped I already had the Orange cdi on it the gold one is much bigger mabey gave me 2mph on top end plus helped the starting.

when trying to start it would turn over very slow , so put a new battery from wall mart in it but still turns slow so put a new starter from Scrappy in it still it would not turn over fast enough to start . I checked the battery even after benign on the charger over nite it only read a little over 12v I checked the starter and when I held it in my hands hooked straight to the battery it had a bad vibration !!! both were bad So I went online to battery mart out of wv got a big crank battery just the right size to fit , new starter from starrider off E-bay and a new cdi from Tvnacman he had answered my first post about this suggested i try one of his CDI s it retards the timing at start up making high compression engines start easier it worked!!!! scooter now fries right up each and every time

Fri st check valve ,s make sure ther not to tight , and that the timing is right engine must be @ top dead center , if all those are right and you say you have low compressen how do you know? I new bbk 47mm should have around 150 , it should start and run with 100 lbs if you put a new bbk in and it has less then 120 lbs check the ring end gap

If you don,t know if its a 2stroke or 4stroke and you need your scooter to get to work your best bet would be to find a local BM scooter shop and buy a new one from them with warranty
