Alright.... I'm a bonehead....
Had the solenoid plugged into the wrong connector...
Found the right one tucked away next to the frame and it only turns over when I pull in he brake and press the start button now.
It still was not starting after the fix. Pulled the new plug and not getting any spark. May have to get new starter coil for the plug.
Anything else I should try to get the spark?

Thanks for the replies!
Its possible that I have plugged the solenoid into the wrong location?
I just bought this scooter and it was not fully assembled. The guy I bought it from didnt have time to work on it.
The only connection I could see that would fit the solenoid was a plug right near the back brake light. I did not see any other connections for it. I may have it hooked up wrong...
Where is the solenoid supposed to conect to?

Hello, I am new to scooters, this forum, and this is my first post =)
I recently bought a Dazon GY6 50cc scooter.
Having trouble with the starter though. It works and turns over fine. The problem is that I do not have to pull in the rear brake or push the start button to engage the starer. I just turn the ignition switch on and it turns over.
The starter does not stop until I turn the ignition key switch off...
I just purchased and installed a new starter solenoid/coil. I tried going back to the old one and the problem still happens.
Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks!
