I just replaced my 24 mm carb with a 28 mm carb with a manual choke and its a slider type carb. I can achieve 53 miles per hour and maintain that speed and still have 25% or more throttle left. What do I need to change to be able to use the remaining throttle I have left.

With all the different block sizes, gears, weights, springs, CDI's, ECT that we have on our scoots, I would really like to ask my fellow scooters to help me get a handle on all of this. Please, you 150 to 180 size engine people, would you please post at least the following.
1- weight size, roller or sliders 2- stock or modified head/block 3- stock or modified carb size and MAIN jet size 4- stock or KOSO or similar performance variator, and belt size. 5- true (no bs, on the flat road, can hit it everyday at any time) top speed and at what RPM's. If you have a tach.
I haven't really figured out the rear end yet even though Alley keeps posting simple and understandable information, but if you guys and gals can tell me what your running with the above information, I think my next post will summarize what we all have, then ask for rear end information, and hopefully shine a brighter light and bring us more of our own overall personal knowledge of our scoot and this cool hobby.
As I read this, instead of asking twice, please list all the cool parts on your scoots and I believe my next post will Sumerize a wealth of information, beneficial to all of us.
Any other information about your scooters, please feel free to list it. Kudos to our members who list their RUN WHAT YA BRUNG info under all there posts. As soon as I figure out how to do it, I'll list mine. And if someone could explain BONES to me I would appreciate it. I've been a member for two years but apparently forum challenged. :- )

Don't want that. I do like the quicker pick up with the lighter weights. I've read your post on clutch and contra springs. Can we get a little more top end with the right selection of those two. I had a hard time fully understanding your post, about springs, but it wasn't you.

Is there any HARM in mixing three 14 gram Dr Pulley sliders with three 10 gram sliders so that I'm essentially running 12 gram sliders?

Your right once again Alley. I have heavy weights and taller gears trying to get best top speed. I have a 150 cc reverse trike and I want to drive down the middle of the road rather than a DUI looking guy hugging the shoulder.

Can anyone tell me why, when my scoot is on the kickstand, it can run at 6000, 7000, 8000 rpms, if I let it, but when I'm running down the road, the best I can see on the tach is 5000 to maybe 5500 rpms. What would be the cause of the motor not being able to achieve the high Rpms on the road that it gets to when it's on the kickstand. I'm baffled. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I just finished putting a 163mm big bore kit on my reverse trike. I also installed a 28 mm manual choke carb and free flow air filter. I now need an appropriate exhaust system to complete the flow and jet the carb accordingly. Anybody have any good ideas and good prices? Thanks In advance.

I just finished installing a big bore kit with racing valve cover with titanium springs. Replaced the stock carb with a 28mm OKO manual choke. I need a header and exhaust that some one who knows what will fit on a 150 cc reverse trike. Thanks in advance

Can somebody tell me what the proper torque is on the exhaust bolts? Just did a big bore kit and don't want to end the build with stripped or broken exhaust bolts. Thanks ahead of time.

I have no idea where I got that picture. I did not seek any picture out to install on these posts. I also have had 69 posts for over a year and a half.
Great info pmatulew. Thank you that helps a lot.

I'm reading all these mods and if you free flow the air box and free flow the exhaust, I've read that you should up jet the carb and raise the needle. I saw a video that cut One winding off the carb spring and drilled one of the holes in the slide slightly larger. What does raising the needle do? And what does cutting one winding off the carb spring do.? What does increasing the size of the hole do?
Another question.......how does an exhaust leak, like a poor donut seal, or a hole in the pipe, lend itself to poor running? Should it not run ok with no exhaust on the block at all? Or does a certain amount of back pressure come into play.
