Yep the three letter word for donkey got deleted. A good kick in the 'donkey' was there when I wrote it and previewed the post. Now that's funny!

All is good..........and I have much respect for each and everyone of you and the knowledge you have and all that you have shared with me. I thank you. You guys know each other better than I do so its easier for you guys to discern the jokes from the non jokes you throw at each other. Maybe soon I'll get there. Tvnacman nothing wrong with making a buck. I did it. I respect you and your well thought out reply's.
I apologize for possibly upsetting anyone. I do think it's a waste to have to read thru several non informational posts about juice and gluten and whatever to find out how many miles a clutch starter is good for. I still think it's the administrators Job to delete the worthless crap as quickly as a post that reads....something like....... Mrpalmetto needs a good kick in the . (Let's see if that gets deleted).
I like you guys and you have helped me out greatly so again I thank you, and as I figure each other's personalities out over time, I will see what a great intelligent humorous group of men we have on this forum.
I grew up in NJ, went to college in SC and lived there for 25 years, and I now live in rural southeastern NC.
Tvnacman, thanks for the instantly quick shipping and the ability to get my hands on a part that just may set my scoots hair on fire. That's humour guys. :- )
And all you guys are probably right, the humor and the banter back and forth is probably why this forum is so well liked.

geh3333 Why do you ask "how much is it on line" when it's written in the post that your responding to. I explained it right there. No wonder you have over 4000 posts In such a short time. Orange juice is important stuff, huh?

Thanks Jerseyboy for the starter clutch longevity response. I was hoping to get that important information. I grew up outside of New Brunswick, NJ. fyi.
I guess I should have posted that last sentence in the " non scooter related " section. Sorry guys

First - of all there is no core charge and not every retailer requires or charges you one.
Second - Walmart does not make batteries and you can order them delivered and no tax and free shipping straight from the manufacturer. I actually upgraded the quality of the battery then the one suggested, and it was on sale and CHEAPER than the one the forum turned me on to. From Walmart online. It also comes with a 18 month full replacement warranty which is three times longer than the battery suggested.
Third - just to piss somebody off, rcg92130 you will obviously be one of those checking the mailbox for your social security check when you come home from work at 65 years old because you showed us all that you can't either finish reading an entire post of information, or you can't understand it.
Fourth - the administrator should chime in here somewhere, because I don't know about others but, I come to this forum for scooter information. I don't need or want to sift thru post after post of orange juice or calories or sugars or corn syrup or all the other worthless banter you people pass between each other in this and many other posts. I've seen posts being moved and that's what an administrators job is. To keep the posts current and relevant. Please do your job. I rather read questionable light cussing, which the administration is right on top of, then the worthless talk he lets thru.
I believe there is a section for non scooter related talk of several kinds that can be posted under other headings in this forum. Keep the ladies beauty salon banter to those areas. If your lonely and want to talk, I'm sure there are some lonely hearts forums that you can join. If you want to allow this to continue then please remove the "non scooter related" posts option in the forum menu. Why have it if you allow this worthless yapping to be posted under "Scooter Discussions", and why have it at all.
And frankly, if you can't back up what you say, kindly keep your mouth shut. I didn't retire at 45 by being and idiot and wasting time. AND as the great Ty Cobb said......" It ain't braggin if you can do it! "

geh3333.... You killed me on the battery. I bought it at Walmart, shipped free, and Amazon had the same one for $6 dollars cheaper and the actual battery manufacturers web site had the same thing shipped free for less than $33. That's $12 or a free set of Dr pulley rollers. My bad for not checking. Hope tvnacman hasn't killed me on the price of the CDI. Especially since he writes on these boards and sells parts to us also. geh3333 no bad on your part but I hope tvnacman isn't killing his fellow scooter com padre's on parts suggested on this site. $8 for shipping less than a pound less than 500 miles?
I consider us a band of brothers trying to make chicken soup out of chicken 'stuff ' . That's why we own this hobby because it can be cheap, and I know performance parts can be expensive. I've been a business owner, PALMETTOCW.com for over thirty years, and always took care of my com padre's. A team who pulls together becomes strong and proud. The team with an 'I' in the spelling just tears itself apart and causes bad feelings.
Check out the history or my business. Palmettocw.com. Started on my back porch 30 years ago with borrowed tools, and I have been retired for 10 years and haven't even put a foot in the building in over 3 years. Still own it, still get a paycheck because I took care of my friends/employees. That's why they are still there 20 years later, and believe me, they get more than just a paycheck.
Ok so you say " he owns this company, and retired at 45, and is moaning about $12." If that is what you get out of this rant, you will be short on friends and money when you turn 65 waiting for the social security check in the mailbox you checked on your way home from work.

Thanks for the battery info and all Y'all's help. I've made every mistake possible in two years and bought at least two of almost every mod, but I'm really getting this scooter thing figured out. Except for the starting issue, which I know what to do, the scoot runs great.
I have a Sunny Dong Fang TKB 150 Reverse Trike, with windshield, 62 MPH, gps. Don't need to be screaming down the road, but I want to cruise between 50 and 55 mph without my engines hair on fire.
Thanks again to all of you.
Ps. And so shimmy no shakes. Straight and true like the Red White And Blue!

Ok, so that replaces the small 3" x 1 1/2" x 1" ORANGE, OR BLACK, OR BLUE (highlighting not shouting) CDI's I currently have on hand.
I bought a 4 sides gold color 3 5/8" x 2 1/8 x 1 3/16" CDI that I fried cause I bought the wrong one.
Can I get an Amen?

My scoot comes with the smaller size CDI and the scoot runs with the battery disconnected. Does this give you enough? Hope so.

Can you hook me up with a link to the CDI that we have been discussing. My scoot runs without the battery hooked up so that should tell you if its AC or DC. Thanks.

I bought one of the gold CDI's and I fried it because it was for AC OR DC. I'm confused which I have but my scoot runs with the battery disconnected. Tvnacman, can you send me a link to the part or hook me up somehow? Thanks.

I'll check tvnacman now and order the CDI. I've read about it enough here to feel right and good about making the purchase. NOW.... Please my friends, point me in the direction of a starter. I removed the kickstart because it was a pain while removing and reinstalling the CVT cover thirty times, about, testing weights and doing all the other stuff we do.
Anybody feel ok without their kickstarter or I'm not being smart.

Battery is as old as I've been a member. I think she's done. What do you have and where did you get it?
