athletic wear (I had no LapMac for a day as my guru installed a much larger SS hd--I had 4g of 125g free in the old one . So I missed out on pizza. Bugger. But at least I now have a much happier LapMac with space to grow)

weather forecaster Mom got a wedding present from Dad's boss. It was very nice and probably fairly expensive salt peeters (dunno how to spell that). They were not on Mom's wedding registry. Apparently they also hadn't been on Mrs Boss' registry as the previous gifter's card was still inside the box. Oops. Several times, Mom thought about re-regifting them. She never did. Ended up just giving them outright to my sis-in-law who was thrilled and loved them. So they finally found a good home and got used.

'Kat -- I forgot to mention that Matt Damon drove a Taurus wagon at the beginning of Downsized. I think that makes it a "must see" for you. Def' going on my library list then! Taurus wagons rule! I wonder how many movies have main characters drive Taurii? Not just wagons, but sedans? Considering they were one of the very best-selling model out there ever, for multiple years, it surprises me that I haven't seen more show up in movies. Even just in general.

Has anyone seen the new Mary Poppins yet?
I'm torn--I'd like to see it, but it looks like they focused on the effects way more than the original did. That one, the effects were very much secondary to the story--even the chalk drawing was about the story, you just accepted the animated world as part of it. But every clip, every trailer I've seen just seems like it's all about the effects.

That was only for one track meet. And it was hard. And probably incredibly humiliating. I don't remember just how pathetically short my distance was. Boom-boom helped by kidding me that she feared for her record. (which btb I think is still the record today)
Although I did throw the discus several years at the summer track.
Seriously, I'm probably lucky I didn't lob it onto my foot.

I know what you mean, 'bender. A dear friend would always go see the new James Bond movie with me--not because she enjoyed the movies (like I do) but because she thought Pierce Brosnan was the most gorgeous male out there. Would always say afterwards they could've just filmed him standing there looking out at the audience for two hours and she'd have been happy. Then again, I can't disagree too much with her--he IS fine to watch.
