Weights really only affect the acceleration curve. Depending on your variator, a thicker roller (or a slider) can possibly push the variator out a tiny bit more, pushing the belt closer to the edge, giving you a slightly higher top end.
My suggestion is to open up the CVT and put an ink mark across the variator face, close it up, then top it out. You can see how high the belt is riding up the variator face. If its not getting to within 1/4" of the edge, you have room to grow, so to speak.
The variator drive boss is the cylinder between the variator and the drive face. You can shave it down to allow the variator to push closer to the drive face, giving you better top end.
A few things to watch out for:
1. Nicking ANYTHING. 2. Placement of the drive face in relation to the starter bendix. If you take too much off the drive boss pin you can get it out of alignment and it will make a terrible racket when trying to start. You will damage something if you don't readjust. 3. Tightness of the variator face. Some crankshafts are not threaded enough to allow the assembly to be tightened if the boss pin is too short. Measure and make sure of that.
If you do take off too much from the boss you can put a thin washer behind it (if you can find one the proper size).
Try this first as it is much easier to do before breaking open the rear casing to get to the gears.

I've been gone for a year. Very busy with my shop and online business.
Forgot where I came from. I'm going to try to get online here when I can.
I need to talk to who is in charge of the boards now.

BBK pulls in much more air during idle than before. You are probably too rich (counter intuitive). Main jet depends on your particular scooter. A 72 "typically" needs a -92, but some carbs are different and it can vary between and 96. Greg

All my photos are on the old thread. After 2+ years my EFI is working great! NO STARTING ISSUES. Still have the minor battery charging issue. I just charge up the battery once a month or so.

Yes, many people call it the retro exhaust. To me it's just a music-maker!

Hey all,
I have a customer with an Ice Bear trike who wants a performance exhaust put on his 2002 Mojo. The standard 139QMB muffler won't fit because the flange does not line up properly. He says he called around and cannot find one specifically for his scooter.
Ignoring the obvious answer to go to a muffler shop and get it cut/welded...
Are there any header pipes that fit that scooter with a flange for a universal muffler?
Any other lesser known brands that will fit?
Supertrapp is not an option.

They are not imported generally by Tao Tao US yet. Many models that were supposed to be brought over last year (Like the Roman 50) never made it. No real reason why. Just didn't arrive in the containers. It is a common "new" model now that you can purchase from many other manufacturers like Gorilla or Bintelli (I think)

Check with a lawyer. While her POLICY may top out at $10,000, her LIABILITY does not. That means that she is personally responsible for any monies her insurance policy will not cover. Do not just guess, go to a personal injury lawyer. Most of them don't charge money until you settle. And from what you say it is pretty clearly her fault.

I've been doing great! Very busy selling parts online. Amazon has been a big boon for us. We're one of their top sellers.
We just signed on with Rakuten.com (buy.com) and Sears.com. We are talking to Overstock.com as well. Pretty soon we will be selling on every major marketplace on the Internet.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I haven't been on the site for over 6 months. Been busy with my fiancee, renovating my shop, and setting up two other businesses. I guess post count doesn't transfer so I'm a newbie again. Greg
