You may have set it to RICH, try turning it 1/4 CLOCKWISE and try it see if it has a little more power. Running to rich will zap the power of the motor. Alleyoop no improvement. i'm going to adjust the valves but i think it might be more serious, idk. just now i heard a very faint clicking noise that sounded more like a valve hitting the piston than the normal ticking of valves... but then again, what the heck do i know.

Does not matter how much your turning the screw. What you have to do is LISTEN to the IDLE as your turn it 1/4 turns at a time and wait about 10 seconds to allow the motor to adjust to the new setting. What you are Listening for is for the IDLE to rise as high as possible. If on the last 1/4 turn the IDLE does nothing then turn it back 1/8 of a turn HALF of the last 1/4 turn you did. That should be the point of adjustment that the highest idle was reached. Then test the setting Give the Throttle a quick full twist and let go. The Rpms should rise quickly and drop back down to idle quickly. Then you ride it and test it with a load on it. Alleyoop i think i set it right but it still has no power and only 30mph top speed. i think something is seriously wrong. bent valve? idk, going to attempt to adjust the valves but i am thinking i may need new parts now. was running much better before i tampered with the carb. i don't know if it is something i did or if running lean for the past week finally broke something. i never rode it more than 15-20 minutes because i believed it was running lean. guess i shouldn't have rode it at all until i solved the problem.

bought a long screw driver from home depot and cut a small hole in the plastic so i could access the adjustment screw a little easier. think i have it set properly now but i still suck at tuning carbs. we'll see how it performs when i take it for a test ride.

it is so hard to get a tool in there that i can't even tell how much i am turning the screw. attempted to adjust it the other day and now it is worse than before. it won't go over 30mph, pulled the plug and it is a not so pretty white. i'm going to work on it later today, hopefully i didn't kill this scoot already.

those honda spree's were invincible. i cut grass all spring and half way through summer back in to get mine. i dropped half my customers after i bought it so i could spend more time riding. i bought a 150cc from superior. ordered on the 7th of feb., scoot arrived on the 19th feb., had a problem with the MCO and they finally got the paperwork sorted out on the 10th of march. i don't know how to tell where they were manufactured from the website. hopefully someone else can answer that question for you. one thing i didn't really plan for was were i was going to park it until i got plates. living in a gated community they are very strict when it comes to unregistered vehicles. so make sure you have a place to park it until you get the MCO and BILL OF SALE. superior was fast at sending my paperwork, i actually had it the day before the scooter arrived but unfortunately the VIN didn't match. i wouldn't pay for the extended warranty. if you read the fine print it is next to impossible to follow all the rules of the warranty and few if any parts are covered. you are on your own once it arrives.

well, it's too difficult to get to the screw with my tools. i need a longer screw driver (or shorter) and i have to come in on an angle. gonna run up to the store and see if i can find what i need so i can get this thing running right. i couldn't find the right size i needed. had a piece of sheet metal, cut a small piece, wrapped with paper and duct tape. works well enough for what i need.

The point I am trying to make is it is silly to try to predict what is going to kill your scooter while a long way from home. There are simply too many parts and tools needed to cover enough failure points to make it worth while. Instead of buying all the tools and parts and a trailer to tow behind your scooter to carry it all, why not get a towing service for your scooter? If your luck is as good as mine, you have a small utility trailer, a ramp, some tie down straps, and an obliging spouse to come get you. being prepared has saved me many times, not just with a scooter. obviously you can't prepare for every possible problem but you can bring spare parts for anything unreliable like belts and CDI's. i already have all (or most) of the tools i will need and not hauling a trailer. so i don't feel it's silly if it will save you time and a headache later on.

got the carb off and drilled out the plug. easier than expected, their was a lot of space between the screw and plug so i didn't mess up the adjustment screw. just need to put it back together and adjust the ratio. haven't taken it on any long trips because it seemed like it was running lean. thx 4 the tips.

My experience has been taking tools and parts along has not been helpful. Every time I needed a part or tool I didn't have with me to get going again. what parts/tools? help me avoid that problem, it's going to be a long day if i get stuck 100+ miles from home.

a few parts arrived yesterday. got 2 spare gates belts, 3 ft fuel line, fuel filter and valve stems. was planning on ordering 2 Pirelli tires and upgrading when i installed the valve stems but these 13" tires are a bit more than i can afford at the moment. the stock tires will have to due for now but those stock valve stems are going in the recycle bin.
soon as i determine if it is AC or DC i'm going to get the casoli CDI from John. still on the lookout for a mini tire pump and headband mounted flashlight

i park at the end of the row. their is a small parking spot that only has room for a 2 wheel vehicle. occasionally someone will park over the line and i can't squeeze in so i just take up a whole parking spot if that happens.
