it happen again very in consistent it cough again or misfire and then die kick start again w/manual choke and runs ok and idle fine i put 90mj already its nice plug tannish color.can that be electrical problem?sometime i run my scooter about 10 miles w/no problem and sometimes i just drove it couple of miles and show that problem coughing and then lose power/die.any advice?thanks..

update on my scooter i just put a #  mainjet i follow what alleyoops recommendation and for now i run my scooter smooth and fast,w/out hesitation,or cuoghing and weather is fall..one thing good i save alot of gas..vgood mpg on the 90mj.i hope it will continue running good so no headache..btw my a/f mixture is 1.25 turn out. crisp on the mid range..and if coughing happen again on my scooter my gut feeling is on electrical.. |

i run my scooter again on a steady over mid range throttle and it cough again,,is there a possibility that my air pod filter leak because there is a crack on it even i tight it with cable screw lock that why it cough and stall..i check my plug it nice and tan..

 taken last 3mos ago.. i have to put some cover back on my uni air filter i thought that was the cause of scooter coughing so i remove it,the cover makes my scooter less loud/silencer and i think save gas.. |

thank you rpdemer i like florida orlando & specially miami. yup i noticed that too on my van..after i turn off the engine...now i am thinking of putting #  main jet since on my few testing i did not encounter any coughing on my scooter maybe also on the cdi because i put back the stock cdi.,i use racing cdi before those blue racing cdi, if you are familiar on those blue cdi,the stock cdi performs well.. |

yeah.thats what i am afraid but hope it will not happen,i can order intake shaft because the one i port is not the manifold it the boost port intake were the cam shaft is connected..i tested again about 5 miles 101degree F outside it runs fast the speedometer gauge reach all the way...about 5 miles again it was too hot outside...1pm..and when i turn of the engine into my garage i hear some "tik' sound into the motor is that normal..

since i port it before to make it bigger..i decided to put j-b weld to make the intake narrow again i thought its getting too much air. i just noticed before i j-b wield there is a thin small line at the floor of the intake maybe 1/4 inch.maybe that's the hair line crack your talking..but it was covered with jb-weld...so what will i do if theres a crack?i just tested the scooter about 5 miles with a lot of wot ( degree F ) plug chop light coffee color..my scooter is made in Taiwan clone of Honda dio |

that's what i am thinking rpdemers that's why i put back the 100mjet from 105 even 110 what seal are you talking about is that the gasket on the manifold..i will make my long test run again i tested it already w/ a 100mjet just 2 miles it runs smooth and fast..i don't know yet if i ride long miles problem will show up again hope not...

i try to run my scooter this time it soft seized again even i put #110 i don't know if it soft seized or not the engine is like coughing then when i give or feed with gas and then stop then i check the plug color is ok tannish so its burning ok,i kick start again w/ manual chock and start again.i don't know whats the problem on my scoot.now i put the 100mjet and change my cdi to stock it runs ok but i don't know yet if will soft seized again when i drove it again long miles.

i put #105 main jet on my 21 oko and uni pod filter the black one,v8 pipe and it runs smoothly and fast but when i try to put 110 main jet it runs ok but 105 main jet run smooth and faster i thought it will run fast on the 110mj. plug is tannish/pinkish...i just run it about 6 miles most wot for testing.before it soft seize w/ 103 main jet and w/ uni air pod filter covered w/ plastic cup w/2 holes on the side

i ported my sym dd50 boost intake block ..what will be my changes in my main jet and pilot jet to prevent soft seized?right now my carb is 21mm oko w/uni air filter.. w/42pilotjet and 103main jet..thanks

i just put back my stock carburetor, my 21 oko carb was keep on seizing.i try to remove the cover in the uni air filter and it runs fast but my gas is just like pacman so i decided to back to basic stock carb it runs good just a low speed..
