I had the same issue with mine. Most time it is heat that will destroy your belt. The fix I used was to cut a hole with a dermal tool on the cover over the rear clutch then I covered the hole with hd screen using jb weld. The other choice is to buy one all ready made & cut out they are all over E:bay or www.partsforscooters.com

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Turns out it was the seal around starter the starter was loaded with oil never saw so much oil in one I clean it out with disk brake cleaner replace the rubber o ring I used permatex high temp form a gasket on it I plan to ride it tomorrow . I go threw a starter once a year on this unit. The valve cover gasket I replace on Monday was dry as a bone so I believe the oil leak is fixed. I must of had 2 different leaks Alleyoop thanks for your input Best Re guards

I need a little help on my 2004 Vento 150 with 10200 miles After riding this unit it leaks oil under the motor it does not leak when running it happens after the ride. I did notice a oil film on the left side of the rear tire and wheel I resealed the valve cover gasket last Monday I did notice the gasket was flush with the valve cover . It did leak less later on Friday afternoon I check the head boat they we're tight my gut tells me 2 things I may be over filling it and may be due for a minor over haul. I got some help and had it just sitting on the tires it showed full. Should I replace the head and valve cover gaskets? I have a full kit located 30 miles away for $25.00 and be done with it or just get a new valve cover gasket ? I just want to nurse it threw the season. the motor runs good other wise. By the way it has no egr valve
Update August 27 12013 I though I had it fix I sealed the starter with sealer still leaks and the starter wont crank starts easy with kick lever Background the local roads has had a lot of construction I don't know what damage I could have done I"am about ready to seal every seam with gasket sealer or jbWeld I don't plan on putting much money in this as I plan to go the 3 wheeler route in the spring I did fix the carb one other note it now takes 7000 rpm to get to 50 mph the belt is dry and replace with the 13.0 rollers last summer I'm thinking about replacing the rollers
Thanks for any help
Larry

I have the 2004 Vento 150 it will 10,000 miles on it soon it runs good but I see oil that looks like it is from the rear end i replace the rear end oil I just put gasket sealer on the drain plug I hope it seals It Where should I look if I see more oil? it leaves a few drops when I park it. The other Issue It runs great the intake valve nut was never adjusted it wont budge it still in range should I leave it alone ? or could it be a time bomb waiting to happen ? My plan was to run threw the season then do a bbk over winter Thanks Larry Attachments:

I use Motorcraft 10 W 30 synthec blemd and a good 80w rear end oil for the gears I use a meat injecter for the rear gears Walleyworld sells them for $5.00. I change both oils at every oil change apx 750 miles because I use this 150 hard. good news will hit 10.000 miles later today and so far no motor issues. By the way have you change your brake fluid? if you have disk brake now the time to do it.

My first belt got to 7000 miles then I was not taking any more chances I replace it with the gates power link and new 13.5 weights. When I pick up this 2004 Vento 150 I modified the cover using a dermal tool I first cut a hole on the back part covering the clutch drum then used mental screen and JB weld to cover the hole on the back side then used flexsteel to finch the job. Bear in mind one of the biggest reason belts brake is because of heat this mod helps keep that area nice and cool. I do this on all my scooters I saw this years ago on scootdawg

I used the flexsteel rubber based you see on TV the one that seal a screen door in the water. I used it in the fender well in front and coated it under both fenders. I also used it on the steel part of the rubber floor mat and on the left side engine cover. I went with the clear to give it more shine and deeper color it made the lighter green pop. I used white primer on every thing that was light green then I put 3 coats of clear on the whole scooter it was recommend by the hardware store where I got the paint. while the scooter was down I did some over due work needed including the o ring on the starter and degrease the motor and check all the bolts, screws, and added a 12 volt power point for my phone/mp3 player
