When I went to get mine done in stopped by a little shop and the lady told me that it would be 25 cash to the manager in back. I ask if I could pay with my card like everyone else and she told me It would be more if I did that. I was on my way home and spotted the boat shop and the guy ask for 5 dollars. I paid 10 because he wasn't trying to rip me off. I have spare motor I use for parts that I will be pulling for the gear. This way I'll have the 16/50 and the 18/46 gears ready to change out at anytime without needing a press anymore.

At first i thought something was on my phone screen and I kept trying to get it off. It took me a second to realize what was going on.

Just ordered the hoca 18/46 gears. Really don't need them because I can run the speed limit on the beach road easy already. I figure why settle though. This will put me at 4 up and 5 down over stock and 3 up and 4 down over the scrappy gears. Hoping my bbk has enough power to pull them but if not I'll be ordering the big valve head from scrappy and adding a performance exhaust to max out the top end of this little 50cc motor. Plan on shopping for a variator and weights this week as well. Trying to get to 50+ mph gps.

You could always count the teeth on the gears that came off and figure it out.

What site did you get the DLH Performance variator kit from and how long did it take for you to get it?

Or you can pound them like no tomorrow and then end up arrested. Seems like the logical thing to do. Smh!

You should try riding around town during bike week. We have it here twice a year. I gets laughs, cat calls and bad language. I just smile and pop off a little Beep Beep with my horn and keep scooting. Sometimes I get people that can't stand being behind a scooter and even though I'm doing the speed limit want to pass me and honk. People here don't respect scooters because we at least 15 scooter reantal places on a 13 mile stretch of road. They think everyone is a renter. I just keep on smiling, waving and giving a little beep beep.

I have loaded a few apps on my iPhone and I keep getting different top speeds when using them. I have more then one running at a time so I can to get get a average.
App 1 tells me 42.1 App 2 tells me 43.9 App 3 tells me 45.7
What apps have you found to be accurate?

If you geared a 100cc scooter to go no faster then 30 mph you would be able to keep the front wheel on the ground.

Sweet deal. I was given a junk scooter by a neighbor over the summer. It wasn't worth fixing up but I stripped her done and have been using it for parts. It has saved me hundreds already. For some scooters are just fun, for some a hobby, for others it becomes a life style. Enjoy it as much as you can and welcome to the board.
