I don’t know piston,,, she looks pretty sorted out by the pics I’ve seen,,, it’s a set of pipes and get rid of the jai alai scoop rear fender / license plate bracket and it’s ridin time baby boy!!!!

Scrap is all we can get here in SoCal unless you order a drum of race gas (super expensive),,I occationally will let a bike sit for weeks and they lite right up,,,but they are not left outside in the weather and are covered,,,the weather is very mild here so I've never had an issue

Your running out of fuel at hi rpms,,,carb float set too low maybe so your only running half a bowl to begin with,,,partially obstructed fuel fitting,,maybe some casting flash inside the fittings somewhere ,,,,your getting flow but no volume,,,
